AmeriGas - Oak Harbor

Amerigas provides our propane on Whidbey. They were charging astronomical fees for the fuel until I questioned the price. They provided a price reduction upon my questioning. I called to have them provide a refill of our tanks ahead of a pending series of storms and they said that such a trip would be out of schedule and thus wanted an additional $150. We've been a customer for almost 10 years and yet that means nothing to them. Very poor customer service!

I am about to go into a process of upgrading utilities here to use propane. I had them exchange a small tank to a much larger tank to do this. They talked about what I had planned on having on the house and discussed the recommend size of tank that I should get. We dealt with that, and then, they also looked at the old tank. They said that I needed to have that replaced anyway. It needed to be updated. Then, they made the change. They exchanged the smaller tank to a much larger tank to much the capacity of upgrading utilities here.

They just come out and fill us up when they think our tank is low. Their pricing is reasonable to high. We are satisfied with them. Their customer service is good. They are very responsive, they call back and they will exchange e-mails. They are very helpful. We never ask them for a delivery, they just show up, but I guess they get here before our tank is empty, so I would give them an A on that.
