AdenBecks Electrical LLC

About us

We're in it to make a living, not a killing. We perform all the job related activities of an electrical contractor that other companies do, we just don't hit your wallet so hard. AdenBecks, LLC began doing business in 1985 and is still a family owned and operated company. Currently our hourly rate is $60.00 per hour. That is also our service call rate for the first hour. We have traveled as far north as Northport, Washington and as far south as Colfax, and Dusty, Washington. We have gone east as far as Priest Lake, Idaho and as far west as Ritzville, and Benge, Washington. For longer trips we charge for windshield time but do not add a trip fee on top of that. We prefer to "walk the job" with the customer to ascertain their needs versus wants are, as well as to advise them of how we can save them money. However we can make proposals and bids based on architectural drawings if you prefer. Our technicians have a wide variety of job experience with and in other trades and can help mitigate problems that commonly arise when more than one trade is needed to complete a job. We can provide previous customers' contact information if you wish to view the work we did or ask how we and our employees are as a company. Some picture records are available at www.facebook.com/adenbecks. We work in cooperation with John Wiley of Northwest Solar to install Solar power systems. Our electricians are members of the Inland Northwest chapter of the International association of Electrical Inspectors. We receive up to date training and have formed positive relationships with both City and State inspectors. When we bid a project we will supply documentation to assist you in evaluating our bid in comparison to other contractors. These documents include a suggested list of questions to ask all of your electrical bidders.

The WORST Customer Service I have ever received which came from the Co-Owner David Thoeny. (Ok, top 3 worst). I hired a contractor for completion of new roof, hardy plank, rock, and gutters. During this time the contractor crew damaged 2 lights. Contractor called Adenbecks and scheduled them to come to fix the damage. Invoice was sent to contractor who did not pay it. I then received the invoice saying the contractor stated it was my responsibility (which is not true after talking to the contractor). I DID NOT call Adenbecks to my home. I emailed to communicate the above and received an email from David Thoeny stating that the work was completed at my address and it was my responsibility. If I did not pay it Adenbecks would take legal actions to collect this. I had knowledge of this invoice for 1 week. There was no customer service in communication on this issue. I decided to pay the invoice and take it up with the contractor. I feel this was not my responsibility. When I phoned to make the payment, David Thoeny answered the phone and was rude, condescending, and told me he thinks that if a customer does not pay an invoice within 30 days they are likely not going to pay it and he thinks his threat of legal action was acceptable and HE IS NOT AFRAID TO SUE ME. I had knowledge of this invoice for 7 days! He was not interested in that fact. Lack of communication from the office was terrible. Calls not returned, very poor customer service, and plain disrespect from the co-owner David Thoeny. Beware in doing business with this company. I will NEVER call them for my electrical needs.

This time the technician showed up on the scheduled day, on time. I was told that I was responsible for covering the furniture and floor to protect from debris falling from ceiling. When everything was in place, he began work. When he completed the install of the fan, we did not have the battery for the remote. We were unable to check the speed of the fan until we obtained a battery. Technician left and we had to clean up the mess, which I believe was their responsibility not mine. After we got the battery installed, we had trouble with the fan speed. We contacted the manufacturer who walked me through the troubleshooting steps. The first thing that was noticed, is that the remote on the wall was UPSIDE DOWN. My husband had to remove the switch plate and turn the switch around. Not a very professional job.

"[Member name removed], AdenBecks apologizes. Sometimes a job just doesn't go right no matter how much we try to make it so."

The company did not show up on the originally scheduled day. Owner apologized and rescheduled. Technician showed up on time on the rescheduled visit. Everything else went ok.

They re-wired our home. They installed can lights in our kitchen. We have used them in the past. Their work is very good. Their price was less than half compared to other companies. We recommend them to everyone. They were very professional. They went above and beyond.

Rather than charging us and making extra work they explained and helped us discover it was merely a hidden fuse we couldn't find. They replaced it as part of the service call. It was excellent, very honest and straight forward. They live up to their motto that they are not in it to make a killing, just a living. The charge was the service call charge.
Response from AdenBecks Electrical LLC
"Member was the recipient of our "secret" marketing technique. We don't charge for things we don't do. We under promise and over perform. And, we don't make more work than there really is at a job. We're in it to make a living, not a killing. As a consequence Member recommended us to his boss and we received more work. That's just the way we roll."
