The bid for my deck was not the low bid. I chose Thompson on the expectation I would get quality work on time and on budget. This is what I got. My previous deck needed replacement because it had sunk. Let's put it this way... Should the Puget Sound have a massive earthquake, I wouldn't be surprised if my new deck was the only thing left standing. Not that it's overbuilt, but it is solidly built and not likely to sink or slump like my previous deck. I also appreciated the subtle touches like a removable cutout around the faucet at the edge of my deck. Attractive when in and convenient access to the faucet when popped out.
