Jon was careful and professional with all aspects of the job. We chose him because his bid was right in the middle of our other bids, the quality of materials in his bid was better, and he seemed willing to work with us to ensure we got what we wanted from our investment. I am a very picky customer and Jon was very patient working with me to ensure the final product was exactly what my wife and I were looking for. He even absorbed the extra cost when we requested that the window glass be tempered throughout. He worked a miracle with the restoration of our water-damaged 50-year old mahagony window sills and wrap too, which each of the competing bidders for this job said they could not do. The grain in these restored pieces is just beautiful! The matching mahagony trim and wrap he installed new in our living room window fits right in with the rest of our decor, and Jon trimmed the blind to fit the slightly narrower space the wood wrap took up, something I hadn't even thought about! Jon and his partner started installing these windows just prior to one of the worst snow storms in recent memory and throughout that ordeal continued to be very polite and pay close attention to not damaging shrubs or bring any unnecessary mess into our home. Jon was always clean, polite and attentive to our desires as questions about details arose. He cleaned and straightened up each day, and never left the house for the night until he had 'buttoned up" all the openings. I am going to have him install two new windows in the south side of our house and install a new french door to replace our aluminum slider next.
Description of Work: Replaced all 11 single pane aluminum frame windows in our house with brand new Tuscanny windows by Milgard and restored all the original water damaged Mahagony window sills. All the windows were argon filled, low E coating, and tempered glass. The bid included replacing one 6' x 4' picture window with a large garden window that required exterior supports, two 5' x 10' windows with sliders, two bathroom and one picture window. The rest were pretty average sized house windows. Jon also put a new Mahagony wood wrap and trim around our large living room window and trimmed the outsides with primed wood. The job included preliminary discussions of appropriate materials, ordering and delivery of all materials, repair of damaged sills and water-damaged dry wall, sills and wraps, installation, finishing, removal of the old windows, and clean up.
