A Highly Mismanaged Process⠦ I wanted to take the time to share my unfortunate experience with BelRed and provide a comprehensive review of their services in the hopes that others do not encounter the same issues I did. From the very beginning, things went wrong, starting with the sales technician. The sales process was riddled with false claims and misleading information. I was sold a comprehensive HVAC package that included a top-of-the-line air filtration system, which was supposed to have an electronic air cleaner and a UV system. This was a key selling point for me, as I was seeking the best air quality solution for my home. However, when the system was installed, I found out that what had been sold to me was not what I received. Instead of the premium air filtration system I was promised, I was given something of a much lower caliber, and the system lacked the key features I was sold on, such as the electronic air cleaner. When I brought this up, I was told to ignore the line-item differences in the invoice because they had just adjusted the price. This was simply unacceptable and felt like a clear misrepresentation of what I was purchasing. In addition, there were more false claims made by the sales technician during his diagnosis of my home. For example, he incorrectly claimed that carbon monoxide becomes fatal at 40 parts per million (PPM), which was concerning to hear given the inaccurate safety information he was providing. Furthermore, he stated that the refrigerant line could be run down the sloped part of my attic to avoid taking up space, which turned out to be untrue, adding more complications to the installation. He also claimed they could get a return duct in place, but this was another promise that they couldnâ t deliver on. Even beyond the installation issues, the contract invoice they originally sent me was misleading. I was under the impression I would be getting a complete air filtration system, as per the original invoiceâ s specifications. However, what was actually installed fell far short of that. From mismanagement of the contract to incorrect information provided by the sales team, the process was a disaster. Unfortunately, the problems didnâ t stop there. Communication from the office team has been abysmal. After sending emails to the team to address the ongoing issues and calling several times to get an update, I have received little to no response. Last week, the technicians came to fix a broken part on the newly installed heat pump but brought the wrong part. Since then, Iâ ve left messages with the office and still havenâ t heard back. The lack of communication and coordination from the office is frustrating, and it has become clear that they have serious problems with their scheduling and customer service. That said, I do want to acknowledge the technicians who have been on-site. They have been incredibly competent, professional, and courteous. They did their best to address the problems with the equipment, and I have a lot of respect for their skill and attitude during this chaotic process. If the same professionalism from the technicians was present in the management and office team, this review would be very different. Ultimately, my experience with BelRed has been a disappointing one, largely due to poor communication, terrible scheduling, and false claims made by the sales technician. While the on-site technicians did excellent work, everything related to the office, sales process, and follow-up was done very poorly. This has been an unnecessarily frustrating process, and I would not recommend BelRed to others based on my experience. Advice for Management: I highly suggest investing in more rigorous sales training, especially to ensure that customers are given correct information and realistic expectations from the start. Additionally, better communication systems should be put.
