Haider Construction
About us
Owner and President Ron Haider has over 25 years experience in the roofing and construction business. Our goal is to exceed our clients’ expectations and to grow our company through our reputation. The Remodeling Bid Process: Ron Haider meets with all of remodeling customers initially, and will discuss with you the particular requirements for your remodeling job. After the initial meeting, Ron will present a bid and a contract for you to review after explaining all product options and job site considerations. The Roofing Bid Process: Haider Construction bids on a project only after we have had a chance to visit your home and meet with you personally. Unlike some roofing companies that may present you with a “drive by” bid. we insist on precisely measuring the job, and then meeting with you face to face to discuss your needs and expectations for the project. We present our customers with a thorough evaluation of your roofing needs. We take that initial bid meeting as our opportunity to educate you about the many roofing choices, colors and materials available to you. Paul Lehman, our Roofing Sales Manager, has over 30 years experience in the industry. Paul offers comprehensive knowledge of roofing product options and excellent sales service, from the bidding process to completion of your roofing job. Additional email- [email protected]. "The customer was a pleasure to work with. We were a day late but we honestly thought that we would be able to make it that day. However, the previous job did not get done due to issues of dry-rot that needed to b repaired. We will never leave a job start another one. That day we were hoping to get the job started but just a little later in the day. When we saw that this was not going to happen, we intended to call the home owner, but he called first. We always tell people that the date that we give people for a start date is only a"target". Depending on circumstances or weather, we can be a day or two late or early. It is our policy to let the home owner know. In this case, we should have let the home owner know the day before that we might be a day late even though we thought that we would make it that day. "The reason the guys started later is that Arlington was far from our home base. Yes, they were not quite ready for the delivery but they loaded it on the roof themselves and there was no extra charge for this. I do not see why this is a problem. The reason why they were at the job almost 11 hours the last day is because they were trying to get the job done so they could avoid long travel the next day and start another job the next day and get the job done for the customer. Most customers would complement such dedication. The reason why we state in the contract that we are not responsible for items falling from the wall is that we are doing our due diligence! When a roof is being removed, it can cause vibration and this is not avoidable. This is why we let customers know ahead of time that they should take down anything of value that may not be hung really well (or sitting on the edge of a shelf). When Paul goes thru the contract he always points this out so people can protect any potential problems. I would say that notifying customers beforehand is good professionalism. Ron Haider"
"Here is the real story: Haider Construction offers extended warranties on CertainTeed roofing products. We can do this because we a designated Selection Shingle Company. We only offer the extended warrantiesfrom the manufacturer on CertainTeed products. When the roofing salesperson, Paul Lehman went thru the options with the client while they were signing up, they chose not to go with the extended warranty from CertainTeed. After this they asked Paul if they could go with a GAF product and he said yes. We warranty all compositon products against leaking for a period of 10 years. He found no need to explain that we cannot offer the same extended warranty on GAF products since they had already declined the extended warranty in the first [Member Information Removed]. I did get frustrated after explaining this to the home owner multiple times. The crew that did the job was lead by a roofer that has been with me for over 20 years. It was in the summer and Cipriano had failed to leave a door hanger on the door when the job was done. At this time of year we may be doing 5 or 6 jobs at a any given time. Our most experienced roofer was the crew chief on the job. We invoiced the job immediately after it was completed. We take no money down on our residential roofing projects but we expect full payment when the job is completed. The reason why I threatened to lien the property is because it had been a month since we sent an invoice. WE had already paid all our materials. labor, and dumping costs. After she protested that no one had "checked on the work" a month later. I sent Cipriano out there and he inspected the roof and left an inspection card. Remember that the job was under warranty from Haider for a period of 10 years. I was of the opinion that they were just avoiding payment. I will also note that we have not received any calls since we did the roof two years ago with any issues of leaking. This is because we did a great job. Ron Haider"
Haider Construction was by far and away the most professional of the five contractors we had bid on the job. They were the only one to come out and sit down and review all the available options that we needed to consider. They were to only ones to provide a detailed, written quote, professionally prepared as opposed to the handwritten scribbles from all of the others. Their price was very competitive.
All this would be just window dressing, had the installation not gone extremely well. The crews were professional, polite and always kept us informed as to their progress. Despite fighting weather issues, they started and completed the job on time, and did a great job with the cleanup.
The end result is that we have a very good looking roof that should last many, many years.
Our previous experience with having a roof replaced was not nearly good as was this experience. They are most highly recommended
