I own/mange an apartment building. A tenant called that their sink was backing up and I determined that it was past the p-trap (the limit of my repair skills). It was important to get it resolved quickly. I found Greenlake Sewer & Drain on Angie's List and gave them a call. Chuck called back promptly, gave me a good price over the phone and we set a time for the next day. He showed up when he said he would. He completed the repairs just as promised and double checked the remainder of the building to be sure nothing else was need. I appreciated his professionalism and work ethic about treating customers as you would expect to be treated. I will keep his name handy for any future sewer/drain repairs I need.

After 2 weeks, sewage started backing up again to the basement toilet and shower. So, I called another plumber, and they scoped the sewer line with a camera and showed me that there were still roots clogging the sewer pipe. So, I paid the other plumber to clean the sewer line again. When I called Greenlake Sewer back to let them know the issue, I was told "I did the job I was paid to do". It was clear Greenlake Sewer didn't care about doing a quality job.

Chuck was very responsive, he came out to the site the following day I called. He was punctual and professional. Chuck diagnosed the cause of the problem, examined the sewer line, unclogged hair trapped in the master shower drain, explained the cause of the problem, and suggested ways to prevent future drainage issue. Chuck is very knowledgeable, I will definitely hire him again. He charges by the hour for the first hour and by the quarter of the hour subsequently. I'd much rather hire a local business owner as opposed to big franchises which generally charge a site visit fee + a substantially highly hourly fees.

We have catch basin in our backyard and it was blocked. I chose Greenlake Sewer and Drain after seeing the reviews on Angieslist. They quoted me $450 for the job. Other quotes I got were significantly higher. Brian, manager & owner, came to do the job. He is very professional and communicates very well. Brain and his assistant did good job even though it took little while for cleaning the dirt and roots. He honored the coupon of 10% from Angieslist. Overall I am really pleased. I highly recommend this company for drain cleaning.

Chuck did a great job. The cleanout we had was too small to use so he had to remove/reinstall a basement toilet in order to snake the line. He found and fixed the problem and everything is flow great again.

I'm fairly handy, but after digging down in the area of a water leak in my backyard, it was mysterious as to why I had a perforated corrugated pipe (where the water was coming from) running parallel to a solid PVC pipe tied into a catch basin. The water was coming from the end of the perforated pipe which was not capped, but had never leaked before in the 7 years we've lived here. I didn't want to waste my time cutting the PVC pipe to tie in the perforated pipe thinking something else may be going on. Brian came out and offered to snake the catch basin line before hydro jetting ($400). After discovering roots were blocking the PVC line 35 ft from the catch basin, he attempted to clear the blockage with regular hose pressure to save me from the expense of the hydro jetting. Ultimately, he used the hydro jet to clear the roots which had made its way into the solid pipe through perforated pipe entry points. He confirmed there was no damage to the PVC pipe. The blockage in the PVC pipe had forced more ground water to travel through the perforated pipe which Brian believes may have been the original pipe. Brian was extremely knowledgable and more importantly clearly shared with me what he was discovering during the service visit and how he would attempt to fix it. I'm extremely satisfied with the work performed and Brian's professionalism. I now have a better understanding of my outdoor drain and catch basin system. Most importantly, I saved myself the time of attempting a fix which wouldn't have resolved the problem long term. I'll definitely call on Greenlake Sewer and Drain again for any issues I have in the future.

After a evening shower in our basement bathroom, the water did not drain. We stopped using all water and drains and tried home remedies (baking soda and vinegar plus hot water,  Drano/Liquid Plumber plus hot water) to no avail. In the morning I called Greenlake Sewer and Drain. Chuck "the New Yorker" listened to my description, asked a few questions, and told me he'd be at my house between 10 and 11 AM. He called at 10:35 to say that he was running a little late and would arrive a little after 11. He arrived at exactly 11. This was my first indication that things might go well. And they did. Chuck was (is) punctual, attentive, friendly, and professional. He cleared the clog in just a few minutes with a snake. I had a happily "sick" child staying at home from school and Chuck cheerfully interacted with him and involved him in the work (flushing the upstairs toilet to check the drain flow). Afterwards, Chuck made a point of offering suggestions for preventing future clogs (toilet paper test, plenty of baths for the kids, etc.). Finally, the price was ridiculously reasonable, at least compared to bigger companies you may know from their advertising, who charge MUCH more for exactly the same work (with less or no friendly advice/interaction). I know this because i had such an experience several years earlier in a very similar situation and the price was three times higher than Greenlake Sewer and Drain.
Overall, a very satisfying experience.

I emailed Greenlake Sewer and received a call back in a couple of hours from Chuck. We worked out a time that was good for the both of us, which was early the next week. Received a call from Brian early the morning of (was going to be there between 8 and 9am) saying that his current job is taking a bit longer, so would be late if that would be ok. My schedule was flexible and my issue not severe (no flooding, back up, etc) so was okay with me. Brian arrived just after 10am to complete a basic sewer scoping. We had moved in a couple of years ago and a lot of work had been done to our sewer lines, so we just wanted to make sure everything was ok. Although we had a clean-out outside, I had just planted a bush there, so we decided to go in from the house. Scoping looked good until we were almost to the main and ran into a clog. At first it looked to be just a clog (tp getting hung up on something) as the water was going down, but we couldn't get the camera through. At that time, we had to move outside and use the outside clean-out to see if we can make any progress with the camera. We did not and then we noticed that we were running into black (ie; tree roots). It was pretty massive, so at that time, we decided to snake it to see if we could get through. The snake didn't make it all the way through, but once we pulled back and put the camera back in we were able to get a pathway through. Unfortunately, it looks like we have a massive root ball for about a foot of sewer. At first, Brian thought we could hydro-jet it, but then decided that would probably cause more damage/issues so suggested that I call and get bids to get that section of the sewer replaced as it looked like the clog was pretty close to our sidewalk, and something their company could not do. Brian was great, respectful, and very helpful. He even gave me names of several companies to contact that do work near the sidewalk, and told me to contact him again for a bid if the pipe was not where he thought it was. Would recommend this company for sure. Easy to work with, reasonable priced, and responsive.

Very well.  Brian did a thorough inspection of the site and then figured out where in the system he wanted to tap in.  With a little bit of digging and drilling into the pvc he snaked and flushed the system and had water flowing all the way to the sidewalk.  He was fast, efficient and very professional.  A really nice guy.  I would easily hire the company again.

Chuck was awesome- he promptly showed up and was professional.  He addressed our problems and gave us additional education to avoid more problems in the future.  After the work was done, he cleaned up and probably left things in a better state then he found it.  If we have any future issues, we will definitely call Chuck at Greenlake Sewer.
