We were not sure we needed a chimney cleaning since we hadn't used our fireplace in a few years. They came out and inspected the chimney and determined that we didn't really need it cleaned at this point and provided some great information about the fireplace and its usage. We are very pleased with their responsiveness, honesty and knowledge.

Measuring errors and a parts ordering snafu made the whole process take much longer than it should have. However, the installers were easy to work with and the end result was good.

Bill was very courteous and professional, he did all the work in two days--the bulk of the work in one day, and came back the next day to finish. He was very thorough, with attention to all the details.

It appeared from the ground to be a very good job and the price was great. He seemed to be financially strapped at the time and I had to pay him upfront for the second chimney, which bothered me a little. All in all he was punctual and did exactly what he said he would do and the price was very good.

We had a leak into our living room near the chimney after a rain storm. I called the office, a receptionist answered, advised me on a quick fix until they could send someone out, which was a couple of days later. Oscar diagnosed the problem quickly as cracks from missing grout on the chimney allowing water to seep in. He carefully explained what was going on and how he would fix it. The work was done the following week and has fixed the problem. When I was late returning on the final day, Oscar told me he cleaned out my gutters and downspout(without charge)since he was up there and had the extra time. That was really going the extra mile. He also removed an old wood stove which was quite a challenge as it had been there for many years. He and his assistant got it out without making a mess or hitting anything on the way. They were careful to vacuum thoroughly and cover all surfaces that needed to be. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend them highly.

They were able to get to the work the day after the inspection and estimate, mostly because I didn't wait until November to get it done.

Ed responded right away and came out a week after I called. Ed actually came out the day before he was scheduled to see what had to be done. He worked 3 hours the first day and finished up in 2 hours the next. He and his helper did a good job and cleaned up nicely after they were finished. They were polite, informative and did good work. We had smoke coming from the basement fireplace when the living room fireplace was lit. He saw the problem - the living room flue was not tall enough. He added an extension. He did not charge extra for the waterproofing!

They did a satisfactory job. I had to have them come give a bid twice because I don't know if he didn't understand what I wanted to have done the first time. I did receive an "okay" from someone that knew this person. They came out and worked on it right away, and they finished quickly. They were a little rough on my plants. They cleaned up as much as the could. They were prompt and friendly.

I HAD 3 BIDDERS, TO WHOM I READ THE HOME INSPECTOR'S REPORT. ONE WANTED TO REBUILD THE WHOLE CHIMNEY, BUT ED GAVE ME A VERY LOW BID TO REPAIR RATHER THAN REBUILD.
