While they showed up half an hour late, Ron and Antoine did a good job. I had several trees to top and prune. I had hired the same company two years ago and the owner (Jerry) came at that time. I thought that the work was a bit better last time, but Ron was really accommodating. For instance, he went back to prune a tree that I thought could have been pruned more after I told him. I did some pruning when they were there and they hauled away my brushes too. There was a lot of work and they stayed about 5 hours. I had shopped around and they matched the price of other competitors.

We had a 25 foot Alaskan Cedar next to our house that had previously been cabled to the house because the tree had started to lean precariously about 10 years ago. During the most recent wind storm, it became apparent that the roots on one side were no longer attached and the tree was becoming rather dangerous. I got 3-4 estimates and Budget was one of the lowest. They were also very responsive. Many of the companies were booked out through January.
The crew (I believe it was five guys) came out exactly on time and did an extremely good and professional job. I was worried about our satellite dish (on the roof and right next to the tree) and some of our garden arches. They made sure everything was safe and they also did a very good job of cleaning up.
I would definitely recommend them!

Excellent service from the crew who were pleasant and informative. I chose Budget because I wanted to stay with a local company. They did not disappoint.

Claudia came over to provide an estimate on the same day that I had called. A workman came by in the next couple of days to cut down the shrubs. But it took about a week and a reminder call from me before the stump grinder came out. All workers were pleasant to deal with, did a good job, and clean-up was good.

They arrived right on time, were methodical and careful in removing the trees so as not to damage other plants nearby. We appreciated their very thorough cleanup as well. We have used them many times before and have always had complete satisfication.

They are very knowledgeable and performed all work as agreed. Cleanup was thorough.

We asked for bids from three companies. Budget Tree Service definitely had the lowest bid by far so we hired them. They came out to do the work, and after about twenty minutes of working, they said they realized they didn't bring the right equipment so they would need to return later in the week to finish the job. They also indicated that their estimator may have under priced the job (bid too low based on the actual amount of work it was going to be). They never returned later in the week. I called them multiple times to find out what was going on and they were always slow to respond. They ended up flaking a total of five separate times (saying they were going to be there but then never showing). The final time, their dispatcher even called me to tell me that they were on their way, but again, no one ever showed. It was a very frustrating experience and a huge waste of my time trying to track them down repeatedly. The junipers also look terrible because there is now a giant gouge in them from their original 20 minutes of removal work. I initially had some sympathy for them if they under estimated the job. I was going to tip them up to $200. But they ended up handling it so poorly/unprofessionally. They never had an honest conversation with me about it. They just lead me on and then ultimately flaked, multiple times. Again, very frustrating experience overall. I would not recommend working with them. And now that I see the other reports here on Angie's List, it looks like Budget Tree Service has a history of disappearing if they decide they underestimated the job. Our neighbor has trees that are growing for 12 years, so we have them periodically lowered. Though their bid was the lowest, they did very good work. They came when they were supposed to, and they did a good job of cleaning up the mess. We were happy, and the people who owned the trees were happy.

Budget Tree Service has done work for us and for our neighbor. Each time they were better than I could have imagined. They worked fast, worked hard to protect our house, cleaned up the brush. It rained for half the day and they didn't complain or quit! They finished in less time than expected, they also gave us a discount for paying with a check. Their bid was far below any others we received and their work was excellent.

I chose this company because they were the cheapest I could find in the area. They did a great job and I thought the price was wonderful too. I got other quotes that were 3 times as much for the same service. The guys that did the work were nice.

I had watched them cut down six trees in my neighbors yard before asking them for an estimate to cut 3 of our trees. They did an amazing job on both jobs. They sent 4 men, who were very polite, considerate, and pleasant to work with. They were safety conscious, hard-working, and very efficient. They cleaned up the debris, left the wood, and removed the chipped material, as we requested. I would highly recommend them.

THE BID WAS WELL BELOW OTHERS WE HAD GOTTEN FOR THIS WORK. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME, SEVERAL MEN WORKED SAFELY AND COMPLETED THE WORK AS DESIRED. THIS WAS A DIFFICULT JOB AS IT WAS ON A SLOPE AND I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK THEY DID.
