Slack's Custom Landscapes

Steve's crew got what was going to be a back breaking job done quickly and it looks great. He's going to be my first (and likely only) call on another project I have coming up. Once materials show up, his boys are on the job.

From the very beginning, the owner, Steve, was extremely responsive to our needs and wants.  When he came out to evaluate and prepare the bid, I didn't really know how to approach our very challenging lot, and he was able to survey the property and give excellent suggestions which were very much in line with the overall feeling I wanted in our landscaping. 

The work began as scheduled and, during the course of the approximately 2 weeks they were on site, both Steve and his crew were very professional and kept me fully informed of the progress.  Steve's communication skills are one of his strongest suits.  He always informed me ahead of time if there was going to be any change to the schedule.  One day, the weather was just too bad for them to continue and Steve made sure to let me know why they were taking off early.  Each day, they cleaned up their work area, as best as possible for a landscaping project, and were always very considerate of our neighbors.    Steve was on site every day and was very receptive to any changes that we requested.   Anything that would change the bid price, he discussed with us before going ahead.  They had to travel about an hour each way every day to our location, and Steve had a great handle on the logistics, as all materials seemed to arrive just as he needed them and the right equipment was here, as needed, and promptly removed when not needed.  
 
The project was completed on time and at the agreed upon price.  We have been very pleased with the end result and have enjoyed our landscaping all summer, as have our neighbors.   We have had many, many compliments.  We had one leak in the drip irrigation system and, upon discovery, Steve had one of his crew here the very next day to fix (he was out of town) - again an hour drive to get here.   Steve was also great about answering follow-up questions I had and making suggestions.  He also came back to winterize the irrigation system and turn off the water feature.  He will be returning in the spring to turn everything back on and make sure all the drippers are working properly.

I cannot convey how thoroughly thrilled we are with our experience with Slack's Custom Landscapes and the results we got in this project.  We have recommended them to everyone and only wish there were more professionals out there like Steve and his crew.
