I arranged for the work from out-of-state, and David Toro (owner) was easy to work with. I needed to get a roof on in a specific timeframe. He was outstanding - exceptional cleanup, painted old chimney flashing embedded in the bricks to match roof. His communication and responsiveness was first rate, easy to work with, timely. He met my timeframe, was able to get my product and color choice with no problem. Highly recommended. I really appreciate dealing directly with the owner of the company and not just an estimator for another crew.

We got several bids for our roof and Victory Roofing was not the cheapest, but was within reason. The reason we chose them was that the owner, David, was the only bidder who actually got up on the roof and looked at the condition and he was hands on all the way through the process. They tore off and hauled away, 1 layer cedar shake and 2 composition layers. We provided the plywood which he and his crew put on. The roof is a 10/12 pitch and too difficult for us to do it ourselves. David and his crew arrived when they said they would and worked very hard all day long, every day they were there. The job was completed on time with no hidden expenses. David worked right along side his crew and I was very happy with the results. They were very professional and very careful. They cleaned up after themselves every day before going home, cleaning up any roofing debris (shingles, nails). They protected my flower beds and bushes. While they were roofing, I was scraping and painting the siding on the house and David offered to leave the roof jacks and boards for me to use to finish up my painting of the dormer and porch roofs and did not charge me anything for it. That made it possible for me to actually get areas that I had no way of reaching without the roof jacks. I was very impressed with Victory Roofing and would definitely recommend them to my friends.

The entire project was handled professionally and totally within the estimate. The crew was punctual and arrived on schedule. They also left no mess to clean up after the job.We will definitely use them again!

We had a very hard to detect occasional leak. It showed up once a year maybe if the wind blew the right way while it rained. David was the 4th person we had try to correct it. He came out one day to look around, and was able to fix it a few days later (not a rush job in the summer). So far - even with all the rain and wind this year it hasn't leaked. I think it's finally fixed! Thank-you David!

Working with Victory Roofing was a completely positive experience. Estimate: There was no question I needed roof work--shingles were falling off my roof with every gust of wind. I called David Toro of Victory Roofing because a friend told me he had given her a very reasonably-priced estimate for roof repair when she thought she was going to need a new roof. (My friend chose another contractor and had a lousy experience at a higher cost.) David's company is in Monroe, but he says most of his work is in Seattle. Anyway, David kindly agreed to meet me after the end of his usual work day because it would have been difficult for me to get home earlier. He examined and measured my roof, showed me exactly why it needed new shingles rather than repair work, and thoroughly discussed how he might protect some of our special gardening beds during the job and what risks would remain to one or two beds right under the eaves. A skilled friend of ours also was about to install for us a large skylight and a couple of roof vents, and David volunteered to coordinate with our friend about who would do exactly what parts of that work. I really appreciated David's positive manner, honesty, and flexibility during the estimate (which continued through the arrangements and the job itself). He readily understood our concerns and treated every question I had with respect. I did not contact other roofers for estimates. David promptly gave us an estimate for re-covering our roof as well as for tear-off and replacing the roof. He recommended the re-covering as a less expensive option (cost was one of my concerns) and explained exactly how our roof was an excellent candidate for re-covering. We opted anyway for the tear-off, although the cost was nearly 50 percent more. Arrangements: I found David very easy to make arrangements with. As agreed by phone, he left us color samples for shingles while we were at work. He actually did this twice because we asked for a larger sample of one color (perhaps we are difficult customers?). We also communicated by email. He and I met once more for me to sign the contract and make a down payment. David was flexible with our schedule and communicated clearly about when he could and could not accommodate our requests. David often answered his phone and if not, he called back quickly. Job: David was on-site for the entire job with his crew. The work started as arranged (and weather permitting). David remembered about our special garden beds. The crew protected those plants particularly well, but also was careful with the plants all around our house. We had virtually no damage to any of our plants. I think I remember correctly that they were here on three different days, each day cleaning up well after themselves. Payment: Regarding the final payment, I had a question about paying for one aspect of the roof vents/skylight work shared by David's company and our friend ($225). I had thought our friend had done more than he had, and I hadn’t really understood what was needed. The contract had addressed the issue and the final bill was totally correct--it was my misunderstanding. However, because I was uncertain initially, David generously offered to deduct this amount from the bill (which I declined). I was impressed that he offered! Summary: I am completely satisfied with the work done, and impressed with David Toro and Victory Roofing. He kept every promise made and the roof looks fantastic! It's good to know there still are honest, responsible businesses out there!
