He arrived on time for the appointment. He looked at the current fan and told me that it would be cheaper to replace the motor instead of installing a new fan.

Had a GFCI outlet that popped and wouldn't reset. Called Switch Electric. Had someone out same day to diagnose the problem. Turns out it was a breaker on a panel I thought was used for a generator. Oops. Cody, the electrician was really nice and didn't charge for the service call. I will definitely use Switch Electric again in the future!

I really like these guys. Bummed that they no longer service my area because they'd be my go-to electricians.

Arrived and determined that the new fans were the same sound level as the existing fans were at the same level. After discussion we decided to get upgraded to a better fan and we scheduled the next visit. He worked with me on the plan and my schedule as I had numerous meetings to work around.

He was early which was good also fixed my issue and found another potential issue. Great Job!

I give the job an overall rating of C. While the repairman was knowledgeable and quite capable, he said the company policy precluded him from actually performing the task specified on Angies list (one electrical repair) without additional charges. Instead he temporarily fixed the problem and charged an extra $200 to complete the task. Apparantly, this is not the first time this outfit has employed such tactics with Angie's list members. I personally consider such policies unethical and would not recommend this company.

Very straight-forward. They arrived on time. Did the job. Solved my problem.

Switch employee showed up on time, was polite and went right to work. However, all he did was rewire the light, exactly as I had done several times before and, predictably, it went out again a couple of months later. I eventually replaced the entire fixture and ran new wires to it. From my point of view, the Switch employee just went through the motions. If I had hired an electrician just to rewire the light I am sure it would have costs much less than $125, so for us this was not a deal at all.

The electrician came promptly and seemed rushed. He looked at the three jobs that we needed fixed. He was able to install the fan in the Solar Tube without any problems. He applied a "Big Deal" coupon to "fixing" the can light. He "fixed" it by adjusting the tab in the can that makes contact with the light bulb. It had been working intermittently before, and as soon as he left, it quit working again. He looked at the fixture over-the-sink in the kitchen and told us it couldn't be fixed. We have since hired another electrician who came out and fixed the light in an hour for a fraction of the price Switch Electric charged for the other two jobs.

they called last minute and re-scheduled (so I had to deal with them by phone). checked panel, answered some questions. made cord to connect generator to house. charged $100 for this cord. i should have asked for an estimate. they built a 30A cord, an adequate 20A cord could be purchased at home depot for less than half that price. The Angie's list coupon was the same price as their regular service call so there was no 'deal'. The service was OK and the man was nice. was surprised by bill and they did offer to take cord back for refund.

The team from Switch were professional and pleasant every step of the way. He gave me an itemized estimate on the spot, and performed the work with quick and professional turnaround. They were comparably priced for the work, but their service won me over. Additionally, when asked, they gave me excellant ideas for lighting design and as a bonus gave me a great referral for a general contractor for other work.

They worked with me answering questions, planning circuits and choosing the appropriate site for the generator. They scheduled around the propane hookup, scheduled an inspection and did a test run of the generator and circuits. They were punctual, friendly, flexible and professional. They were a pleasure to work with and I will be using them again for future electrical work.

It was pretty painless the whole way through. They did a nice job and in less time than they estimated. I'd use Switch Electric again.

Kory and an associate provided an estimate which completely matched expectations and after scheduling the work it was performed promptly and they gave a run through of what to do and made sure the generator provided power as expected. Also made it so it's ready for 400 volt service if I upgrade the generator, so a minor change is all that's needed vs. a complete rework. Great experience that met all expectations.

I had been having trouble with a downstairs light fixture (lots of bulbs burning out) for years. Various electricians checked it out, and even changed the fixture, but it still kept burning out. I bought a coupon from Angie's List to have someone from Switch Electric come check it out, because we were getting ready to sell our home. The guy quickly figured out that the light burned out because it was under our kitchen, so there was a lot of walking and banging around going on over it - the vibrations were making the bulbs burn out. He replaced it with a fluorescent fixture, and we never had any more trouble with it. It was a very simple solution that no one else thought of!

That was great. They did an excellent job. They were able to schedule me quickly and were fast and efficient. I had tried to sort it out myself at first and they were able to figure it out in 5 minute and do the repair in 15. I was highly pleased.

These guys were punctual and had great customer service. The install went smoothly and quickly. No issues.

They were very professional, efficient and respectful. They both took their shoes off when they entered my home. They seemed confident and knowledgable. Jeremy called when he had to push back the time he would be able to arrive, which was fine with me. I understand when a job takes longer than expected. I just appreciate that they called to let me know when they could make it.

The staff arrived in time, and got the job done within 2 hours, which is good. I am also happy with the way they cleaned up the room when job was finished. Very neat. But there are a few things that I was not satisfied with. When they firstly installed the HDMI cable on ceiling, there's no outlet installed at all. So basically you see a hole where the cable penetrated through the ceiling, which was ugly. I asked why there was no HDMI outlet. The technician told me that there would be an outlet on the wall, but ceiling won't have one. I insisted that we should have outlets in both places, and then I was told that there would be 50$ - 150$ more if I want to install two outlets and they only carry one outlet today, so there would be potential cost for another visit. I was disappointed as this wasn't mentioned at all in the estimate. How come you can run a cable but not installing the outlet? Eventually the technician agreed to install a box for me without additional charge, and I will have to buy the panel and install it myself. During the work, the technician seems a bit rushed. Although by contract the electric company is not responsible for sheetrock damage, I would be appreciated if they pay more attentions and reduce the damage as much as possible. They accidentally cut down one piece of sheetrock between two outlets, which is completely unnecessary. And there are a number of scratches and holes left on my wall when they were looking for stud (they don't have stud finders?). These damages should have been avoided. UPDATE 12/3/2012 Tyler, owner of Switch Electric, called me this morning. He apologized for what I've experienced and gave me a partial refund. I do appreciate that, and I believe they can do better and better in the future as they care deeply about customers' feedback.

I initially purchased an Angie's list special for troubleshooting a problem. The resulting work was so good, I immediately asked for a bid on additional work. They gave a reasonable bid which I accepted on the spot. The subsequent work for installing new outlets and new light/fan fixtures was A+ work. The workmen showed up on time, were very professional, and extremely helpful in coming up with a solution to an unforeseen problem that arose due to rafters in the way of the installation. I was very satisfied with the results and they didn't charge me any more for the change in scope.
