As this was a floor outlet, the electrician had to go in our crawl space to diagnose and repair the outlet. the extra cost for the 15 amp circuit extension was approximately $220. We agreed to this before he quickly finished the work. We would use this company again if we need additional work around the house.
Description of Work: Fixed a non-working outlet in the floor of our living room.

 + -1 moreThe exterior outlet problem was part of an Angie's Big Deal. I arranged a date and time with the contractor and the contractor was early! They quickly found and fixed the problem with the exterior outlets and then checked each one. I had informed them of the additional outlet requirement in advance and they had the necessary permit in hand. They carefully pu;;ed out the range for easier access to the wall. The original building contractor had installed a pigtail for a future vent fan so there was no need to run additional wiring. They quickly installed a new box and hooked up the outlet, tested it out, cleaned up the minor mess, and reinstalled the range. Total work required about 1 hour.
Description of Work: Found and fixed a problem in exterior electrical outlets which had rendered 2 of 3 inoperable. Installed a new outlet in the kitchen for a range hood installation.

 + -1 moreEverything about the service installer, professionalism, and fan was great. The fan is much more quiet than the old fan. The service scored an all around An in every category. The only reason I did not give them an outstanding grade in all categories is that the coupon implied the service was a complete install. The new fan required a larger duct, so I have to go up in the attic and try to replace the duct, which I'm not sure I want to do. The coupon didn't mention that requirement which they should do in the future if they continue to offer the fan. To me a "complete install" doesn't require me to finish the job.

 + -1 moreThe old fan in the house I recently purchased was making too much noise. So I bought the deal off Angie's list and called Switch. The scheduling was easy and painless. All they did was ask how big my bathroom is and how big is my current fan. On the day of, the actual work took about an hour or so. And they even cleaned up afterwards.
Description of Work: Removed the old fan, expanded the celling hole to fit the new fan then installed the new fan.

Description of Work: Needed faulty circuits in electrical panel box repaired or replaced to restore electricity tpaymaster bedroom suite, kitchen and exterior lights my home. I purchased a special coupon for this contractor's service to replace entire circuit box or all circuits, but unfortunately, they don't have crews in my area very often andcould only give me an appointment 2 weeks out. However, they did give suggestions on how I might possibly get power for brief periods until they could provide the service. This is my third attempt in the past 2 months to use Angies List find an electrical conrtactor to fix this problem. I've now paid out over $500.00. I hope this contractor arrives in 2 weeks and provides the service per the $269.00 coupon I purchased through Angies List.

 + -1 moreIt all went very smoothly. A sheet of plastic was laid out on the floor to catch any debris that might be created by cutting a hole in the ceiling where the new fixture was installed. There was absolutely no cleaning to take care of after they were done. One technician went into the attic crawlspace, the other gave some directions from below. They were in and out within about an hour or so.
Description of Work: A light fixture was wired into master bedroom. The technicians were able to use an existing switch that had been used to turn power off and on to an outlet, which is no longer needed because of the new ceiling fixture.

 + -1 moreMy ceiling fan in the master bathroom stopped working so I purchased the deal from Switch Electric for a new fan + installation. I was able to book the appt via email. They responded very quickly. They arrived at the appointed time and performed the installation. It was easy to set up, schedule and now I have a working fan in the master bathroom. The fan moves far more air than my previous (before it broke) and there is no steam buildup during showers.

 + -1 moreReally professional guys, didn't have one with a light bulb so they came back a second time to install it. Both times really professional, quick and the fans matched what they were advertising. Good fans we see a huge difference in humidity and also they are silent. They cleaned after themselves and it was done quickly. No mess left behind and everything worked as planned. Would recommend them to anybody.

 + -1 moreI contacted them seeking repairs and advice on two separate problems. First, that certain light fixtures and appliances emit a strange ticking noise. Second, that a particular light switch did not work. For the latter, they provided a replacement switch that fixed the problem; it was not a matching color for the original unfortunately. We didn't identify a definite cause for the ticking--they suggested independent flaws in the fixtures and the microwave--but I accept and appreciate the advice nevertheless, given that the Deal was written for one issue only (the light switch).

 + -1 moreVery well. We've already arranged for him to come deal with our doorbell--a problem that other electricians weren't able to fix. (It's what we should have had him come and do for that one-item special!)
Description of Work: This was one of those specials that Angie's runs, and therefore cost more than it otherwise would. But we'd tried and tried to fix the problem, without success, so thought the problem was bigger than it turned out to be. We couldn't get a circuit to work--he discovered the problem and fixed it. Because it hadn't taken much time, he volunteered to check another circuit that we thought was a problem, and told us why it's the way it is, and that it's no problem. Because that all turned out to be so minor, he said he'd come back and for free, install a new outside light fixture as soon as we bought it. When we were ready he came as promised, installed it nicely. All this was because we'd signed up for a one-time special that was supposed to be to fix just one thing.

I set an appointment with Tyler and they sent a friendly reminder via email a day or so in advance. Jeremy and Joe, I think his name was Joe, were on time and ready to go after a brief inspection. They measured for the right placement, cut the holes and installed the lights and dimmer quicker than I could mow the lawn. They then cleaned any residual debris and cellulose and I swear the room was cleaner than before they started. They will be my first call if I ever need anything electrical again ...

At the first visit, we asked for and received an estimate to install an outlet outside the house off of an existing outlet inside the house. The company scheduled us with Jeremy who had done the work for us the first time. He arrived early (after calling to confirm) with another electrician. The only hangup was that they had arrived with the wrong cover and had to go out to get the correct cover. Other than that they completed the work very quickly and cleaned everything up. The price was exactly as estimated. ($168.21 plus tax) We are pleased with this company and would call them again should we need more electrical work.
