It was fine. Although, we had already solved the problem we initially purchased the deal for when they came out. They ended up just checking our work. They did something else for us too. They did a switch replacement in the bathroom

The provider was on time and completed the work under the expected timeframe. Quick and cleaned up after themselves. We would use this again.

My husband called Switch to arrange for an electrician to do some work at our house and the call went through to voice mail. He left a message including an outline of what we wanted to have done, his name and contact number and they did not call back. This is not responsive or professional (hence the rating).

Their communication was great and they were very professional from the beginning, during the work he worked really cleanly ensuring dust and insulation from attic didn't get around. The installation was completed and everything is working perfectly, he also checked another installation that was done earlier by another company and fixed some issues he noticed. This wasn't the cheapest option to replace a fan but you definetly get what you pay for so I would highly recommend them.

The service provider is very busy and couldn't make it out until the beginning of February. I needed service sooner than this.

Wonderful company! We bought the house rewiring deal and then paid extra for the other work. Tyler (the owner?)was great about answering questions before-hand and giving an accurate quote. The guys who did the work (Brian and ?) were in our home for over a week and were very respectful of our space, cleaned up all of their messes, left little damage to the walls (some was unavoidable) and did an all around great job. We are very happy!

The service went as smooth as it could have. All of the communications were very professional and punctual. In fact, on the morning of the service I got a nice call from their office just letting me know Tyler would be ~10 minutes late due to traffic... he ended up just 8 minutes late. :) From when he arrived to completion was about an hour or so. He answered all of my questions and provided some helpful information about generators, too. The product was installed and the quality of the work looks great. I would use Switch Electric again. A+

Technician was very informative and did a complete check as well as estimate for further work. However, I think they are too busy for me as I tried several times to schedule (and I also have a busy schedule with few weekdays off). Even with 4-6 weeks notice, they were completely booked for my dates, a few times. Eventually (after 3 months), I gave up and contacted another highly rated provider who had similar prices but who (thankfully) could fit me in.

Tyler and his crew performed flawlessly. The job started with a thorough walk through with master electrician, Brian, and his apprentice, Aaron. They took copious notes during the walk through and follow through on every detail. They provided me with excellent advice and stayed flexible. They kept my home clean throughout the job. I am renovating an 80 year old home and working with over 10 contractors. Switch electric has been my most reliable. From the owner Tyler to the office administrator, Ashley, it's been a pleasure. This is a customer focused team that exceeded my expectations.

They were very quick on responding. They do not service my area without an additional fee. I do not want to move forward.

I purchased this service as an Angies List Big Deal. I was contacted within one day and the appointment was scheduled. Tyler installed a simple device which allows me to safely and quickly transfer electrical power from the Main to a portable generator in the event of a power failure. The system that he installed did not involve a new circuit box or cuts in the wallboard, and was less than one half the cost of traditional transfer switches. Permits were procured and work done quickly, efficiently, and tested with my equipment to insure proper operation. Tyler gave me training on all procedures to make the connection when necessary. I am very satisfied with this purchase and the service provided by Switch Electric and would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend this contractor to other members.

After a bit of a price adjustment the work went well and they were done in two hours and they did an excellent job. I had to pay $70 more because of the size of the light fixture but I'm very pleased with the outcome and there was no drywall damage.

The technician was very professional and did he work quickly. When he went into the crawl space to attach the duct, he informed us that the fan duct from our other bathroom was not attached and venting directly in into the crawlspace. (our previous contractor will be informed that i am unhappy). I appreciated the professional service.

Tyler at Switch Electric was a pleasure to work with. We scheduled a date, he arrived in the morning, replaced all the old brown switches and outlets with fresh white ones and installed new light fixtures we had purchased. It made such a difference in the house. They are giving us a quote for the canned lighting and smoke detector as well. Excellent work and very professional company. I highly recommend them!

I would like a refund for this service.

Tyler was very prompt and he put booties on before he came in. He thought it would work better now. It does and I am very pleased with the service I received.

They wanted to charge an extra $75 for a trip charge.

Tyler took care of everything. Great customer service--- really hand holding for the customer in unfamiliar territory with the electric company. Made it easy, took care of every hiccup immediately and smoothly-- Tyler is fantastically responsive.

Tyler came out a week ahead to go over the house with us. We were nervous about such a large project. Tyler was very professional and reassuring. We went over a few changes we wanted and he made some good suggestions, also. On the 15th, the crew showed up early. They were also professional in their manner. We ran into some small glitches when Tyler did not communicate the changes we wanted with the crew. He had them written in his notes, but the crew didn't seem to have the copy. After the first miscommunication, I asked what they were going to be working on the next day so I could be sure to let them know about other things we were having changed. Unfortunately, they did not do what they told me they were going to do and skipped ahead and ended up installing an extra light in the hall and not replacing one in the entry like we had asked. Both times, they made it right. The last day I came home and found they had made a change under my kitchen sink so wires for my dishwasher and garbage disposal that had gone straight up and to a corner in the cupboard now trail along the full length of the bottom of the cupboard to 2 outlets they installed near the bottom of the cupboard under my hose on my sink. I wished they had asked about this since the hose is the most common place for a leak in my sink area. I really hate the thought of possible water leaks onto these important outlets. The next morning after completion, we had a small fire in a wall heater. This was not a result of bad wiring, just a small bit of carelessness. A bit of debris in the heater ignited when I turned it on. The fire was quickly put out. The company again made things right by installing a new heater and checking all the existing heaters so we wouldn't have any more surprises. The only other thing that kept them from getting higher marks was all the screws and bits of wire left around the house. I expected the few holes in the walls - they were very honest and told us we might have some. In fact, there were fewer than I expected. All in all I felt they tried to do right by us. I also want to thank you for coming out and making things right.

Scheduling was simple, and I appreciated the follow ups (including a reminder the day before) via their web system. On the day of the job, they called to ask if it was OK to start earlier than our appointment time, which worked even better for me. The two electricians who arrived did a great job of finalizing the location of the lights and identifying a route for the wiring. I expected this to be a project as my condo loves to make work like this difficult due to lack of attic/crawlspace, half walls, and joists going against the direction everything needed to run. Drywall cuts were required, but everything was kept neat. The team did a great job of professionally working through obstacles and getting everything put together. The lights work great and have helped to brighten the room. Great experience, and the inspection passed quickly and without a hitch today.

Went well, they were nice. The fan is quite a bit louder than my old fan. Was hoping it was going to be equivalent or quieter than old one which moved ~90cfm. New one moves 110cfm.

Update in Dec 2014 - Switch Electric completed the FULL REWIRE in the house both on the top floor and very hard to access Basement and just like in Oct- the work was Amazing perfection!!!. Jeremy and most of the Switch Electricians are perfectionists. They kept me informed at each step when something strange was found like not being able to reach a switch without drilling holes etc and always asked me what option I would like which you rarely find these days. Kudos to Jeremy for completing the job. Seattle City light inspector cleared the project without any mods/changes... Some more plusses + Everything was in CODE including last minute changes Seattle Lights has made wrt type of Breakers you can put in the panel. The new ARC Fuses are just amazing. If one of the switches has a open - it goes into ARC Fault Center position telling you that something is wrong in the circuit. + With a full rewire - I was expecting 2-4 holes in every room but amazingly enough- they could do the whole house in <5 holes. Wow! + They used the best switches you can find and matching my decor. When you order a Rewire, you cant tell what they will use but with Switch Electric - the Quality of the parts used are great + Quality work!!!! - End of the the day - this is what really matters. I bought the big deal from Angies list for complete rewiring of my '42 Home which has partial Knob and Tube. The Switch Electric team is amazing. Tyler came in and gave a good initial estimate. Jeremy took over the real job to find that the K&T wiring in my house was a total mess. When some of the rooms were upgraded, The last owner was told that all wiring was upgraded to Code - ie: Removal of K&T. Switch electric did a thorough test on the main panel only to find that the upgrade contractors had done a lousy job and cut corners. They had connected Old K&T wiring into new molex which is a disaster. Not only did Switch electric suggest what I should be doing but they also helped me upgrade my HVAC circuit and several other small urgent things with no complaints. The full job will be done in Nov/Dec but I wanted to put in a good review in case someone is looking for a quality company with Quality people. Pros - Very proactive & always on -time - Upfront & very crisp on estimates - Extremely friendly and quality electricians to work with - Quality job with no cut corners. Very good followup on any jobs done Cons -None. They are very busy sometime so need to work out a schedule which works for you Kudos to Switch electric team - Tyler, Jeremy & Ashley...
