Absolutely phenomenal work by Jeremy and team. There was nothing satisfactory about any of their work - they went above and beyond in every category. You know it's been done right when the electrical inspector says "wow, these guys made my job easy".

Our house didn't have ceiling lights in the bedrooms on the 2nd floor. It was easy to schedule the appointment online and they were out a few weeks later to complete the work. Since I was a bit vague on what needed to be done, we first walked through the house and discussed all the work I wanted completed. We asked for two lights to be put into the ceiling in the master bedroom and one light in each of the other two bedrooms. I also asked that they change the wall switches so that the switch controlled the overhead light and not an outlet. They asked if we were installing a ceiling fan in the master bedroom as that had different requirements. We hadn?t even though of a fan, so we quickly amended our request thanks to their suggestion! They had a quote within 5 minutes and once we agreed to the price they quickly got started in pulling the permit and installing the lights. They agreed to hang our new light fixtures which we really appreciated. They did make one mistake in drilling a hole in the wrong spot but they were quick to notify us and we agreed to fix it ourselves if they took a small amount off the bill which they did. Overall we were really happy with Switch Electric. The guys that worked our job were efficient and nice! Thanks for making our job turn out better than we imagined!

Got a heads up of upcoming appointment in email (excellent). Guys arrived on time (actually guys called and asked if Ok to come earlier since they had finished earlier job sooner than expected - that was fine so they arrived early). Bryan and I walked through the expected work effort and they went right to work. Since there were two electricians, they split up and worked on both work items independently. They completed everything in just under 2-hours. They did a great job of cleaning up afterwords and protected everything with plastic covers while working. Work was approved by city about a week after completion (they pulled permit of course). I paid via credit card and paidinvoice was delivered to me via email immediately. Great job - would definitely hire these guys again. BTW: Tyler, owner, is very responsive to email. I appreciate that since I work from home and do a lot of email.

t another When I origionally scheduled the work they came out and stated my box was outdated and was illegal as in it was inside a closet. So I either had to not make it a closet or have the box installed on the outside of the house. The origional coupon I was purchased would be adjusted on the work for $500.00 instead of $299.00, unfortunately I didn't have that kind of money and had to wait for the work to be completed 6 months later. When I tried to schedule finally, I had to wait another month and a half to get the work done. I had removed the doors and all the clothes and closet parts, but was told it still looked like a closet so they installed the box on the outside of the house. Before the installation I used to blow breakers all the time, since then not one blown breaker in the house.

The install went without incident. The fan that was replaced was wired to two separate electrical outlets (one to light, and the other controlled the fan), whereas the replacement fan did not have a light. This was a tad unexpected, but since the bathroom is rather small, not a big deal. The installer just wired the fan to both wall switches... although a bit unusual, probably made the best of the situation. The fan runs great, very quiet, and deals with humidity/moisture much better than the barely functioning old fan. No more occasional mold on the ceiling.

The good news: Tyler was prompt to get us the bid on our project - we replaced all of the knob & tube wiring in our 1950 home. We also put in a new 200 amp breaker panel, put in recessed ceiling lights in our kitchen & living room, added new hard wired smoke detectors, and added a few other upgrades. Overall, the price was a bit lower than the other two companies we contacted. Some of Switch's prices for "extras" were much more reasonable though (the recessed lights were a far better deal through Switch). Bryan & Bryce showed up promptly and were very thorough in going over the work that was to be done. They were patient with our many questions and had several helpful suggestions. They were hard working, friendly, and did an absolutely tremendous job of keeping the holes in the plaster to a minimum - there were far fewer than expected. The work progressed well and we would rate the overall quality of their work as excellent. During the whole process there was good communication between us and Tyler and the crew. They were flexible when we wanted to change a few things and when we needed to delay the start date by one day... But... The not so good news: About mid-way through the scheduled work, they were called to another job. They expected to come back in the afternoon, but called us to let us know that they were not finished. They did however, offer to come back late that evening, and in all fairness, we did not insist that they return. The next day they had an extra worker to help make up for the lost time. After that, and until the the end of the job, they seemed a bit rushed. We assume this was due to being scheduled for other jobs. In any event, the thoroughness of their clean-up dropped off, and a few things got overlooked (some fairly minor, and some more significant). They needed to return after our project was supposed to be finished, but did not have time to complete the work and rescheduled for a later date. Eventually they "tied up all the loose ends" and all-in-all we are quite satisfied with the job. In conclusion: We were very close to giving Switch Electric an A on the work they did for us. If they had been a little less hurried and had paid a little more attention to detail, they would have been outstanding. The end result was still very good, but getting to that point could have been a bit smoother. If we ever need any additional electrical work, we will definitely consider them again. We would however, be more assertive in establishing a firm timeline for the work and we would insist on a much more thorough final check of the completed project. We wish Tyler and his Switch Electric crew all the best and we highly recommend that any Angie's List member in need of electrical work consider using them.

I would recommend them, they worked within the quoted amount, did quality work and came back to look at an issue which was related to a faulty LED bulb. When the framing wouldn't allow the originally spec'd fan they located another one and installed it that day. The work wasn't sub'd and the gents were timely and professional. I would have no reservations using them again.

I scheduled an appointment using their website's on-line-scheduling. No one showed up and No confirmation. I called and left a message several days prior to scheduling. No one responded. I called several times after the appointment, No one answered. This company may do excellent electrical work, as the reviews suggest, unfortunately I was never given that opportunity. Customers service ?grade F. ***In response to the company's response below: They called (for the first time) after I left this review. They left a message and admitted that they had called the wrong number! Good grief.

Tyler was punctual for our initial meeting to provide an estimate for the work. He was most helpful and offered good feedback to assist in making a decision concerning the type of equipment to be used. He responded within an hour with his written bid for the job in question. As mentioned on his Angie's List page, he included the senior discount. Even prior to the discount, his pricing was favorable relative to the other bids we received. Given the more than satisfactory comments on Angie's List and the pricing, we decided to give Switch Electric a try. Brian and Bryce, the team that completed the work, were wonderful to deal with - courteous, open, and professional. They arrived well within the appointment window. The work was in the laundry room. Before entering our home, they donned booties to minimize tracking in debris. They covered up the washer, dryer, and the sink to prevent damage and to protect everything from sheetrock dust as the new fan required a larger opening than the old. They did a great job cleaning up. The installation work went quickly. Prior to leaving, they answered any questions that we had. A very good experience. Subsequently, we thought that there was a fluttering sound from the fan and called Switch Electric. They quickly arranged for Bryan and Bryce to check everything out. No problems were found and the install and equipment were working as they should. The new fan moves almost twice the volume of air as the old one and the sound was caused by the larger volume of air moving through the unit. We were pleased that Switch Electric responded well to the situation. It speaks well of a company that will follow-up so quickly to a perceived issue following completion of the initial work - shows that they take quality customer service seriously.

They did a good job. Their price was great, they would do more for the money and their communication was the best. They were very professional and explained everything. They were good at answering questions. They listened to us. They got everything done correctly. They were very nice. When the light fixtures came in, they came out right away and installed them. Everything is working perfectly and they cleaned up after themselves.

There was no problem with scheduling and they arrived on time. They explained that they were not licensed to work on condos. They were unable to complete the work. I ended up a deal refunded.

First off, these guys were booked out for quite a while. I had to wait several weeks for a quote appointment and again for the work to be performed. However, I received several quotes from other electricians and they ALL had the same scheduling issues. Everyone was quite busy. I liked that they were very punctual. Tyler, the electrician was very courteous. It is very important to me that whomever I use doesn?t talk down to me, like I?m a stupid girl that knows nothing. I?m sure most women have experienced this type of interaction. Tyler did NOT speak to me this way. It was as if he were a friend talking to me about the work to be done on my house. This is the main reason I used Switch Electric. Not to mention that they were significantly cheaper than the other quotes I received. The work on my house proved to be messier than originally anticipated. The wiring done previously was faulty, and just a jumbled mess of crap. Tyler sorted it all out and properly rewired, hung the light figures securely, and made everything tidy. He noticed that one of my outlets was not up to code and switched it out, I didn?t even know until we did the walk through at the end. I would definitely say these guys have their act together and will use them on any future projects I have. I have already recommended them to other people in my neighborhood and to a few friends. They were puctual, they called before and followed up, courteous and honest about the work. No charge for simple minor adjustment, VERY helpful.

They told us that we should probably get a new electrical panel for the next few years but we did not end up doing that. We didn't have any issues. They came out and they were professional. They walked us throughout the system and gave us some information. They did a great job.

Switch Electric found something that was hidden behind the refrigerator that was easy to fix- actually free- to fix, so we didn’t need the deal. They were very honest, friendly, and helpful.

It went better than I expected. He did much to improve not only the bathroom fan he was replacing but fixed a problem he noted on another bathroom fan. Not only was the bathroom fan improved because it was new, he fixed existing problems....

Tyler was very clear from the start how much it would cost for the troubleshooting. He also made a few recommendations as far as upgrading the circuit box and potentially updating one particular plug with a grounded recepticle. He was done in short order and explained everything thoroughly. I had a question about installing some outdoor lights and received a quote for that in addition to the other two items. Tyler was great and I willmost definitely use Switch again!

They were perfect! Prompt on answering the telephone, getting me scheduled within two weeks. The workman showed up right on time and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained to me what he was doing as well. He completed in only a couple of hours and the work was great. The only thing is that, given it's electric work, I had to pay for the city permit, but I have yet to be contacted by the city to have them do the inspection, and it's been more than two weeks.

This is our third or fourth timing using Switch Electric. Once again, they were very professional in analyzing what needed to be done for our job. Their servicemen were on time, were very personable and were able to do all the work exactly as we had expected. They made sure that all of their work was up to code and worked well. When the inspector came, he was very pleased with their work.

I caused a short by plugging in some of our outside Christmas lights. When I called they were able to get us in right away because they had a cancellation. They got it done quickly. The technician that came out was really nice and smart. I also had him change out an outlet for me quickly.
