Went well, on time and left clean work area.

I got several bids on this job and Tyler was clearly more focused on customer satisfaction than any other person I spoke to. I knew I would be in good hands, so we booked the work. i have an extremely small lot, so the placement location was a challenge, yet Joseph and Aaron were extremely knowledgeable and worked hard to get this installed correctly. I've always believed you can tell more about a company when things are tough instead of smooth sailing. Tyler and the whole team worked with me to ensure I was completely satisfied. Not only would I highly recommend Switch Electric, they have me as a customer for life.

Jeremy and Dan were great! They called and asked if they could come a bit early and I of course said yes. When they arrived they were very professional and sweet to my 1.5 year old son who wanted nothing more than to follow them around and be "involved". They checked in with me before proceeding with anything to make sure it was exactly what I was looking for, cleaned up when they were done, and also disposed of the box my light fixture came in. I had waited 7 years to have the ceiling light put in and I couldn't be happier with the results. I won't work with any other electricians than Jeremy and Dan and I can't recommend them enough.

I could not have been happier. Bryan took time out to talk to me and help me understand some of the current electrical codes for Seattle and why some of the circuits needed to be the way they were. Bryan helped save me money by explaining to me how I could build a cover for the top of the electrical panel to help it pass the inspection. He gave me things I could do myself to help make things safer as well as explaining the why of it. When I go to upgrade the whole house I will definitely go with Switch.

The installation went mostly smoothly. The folks at Switch Electric was great and I will definitely call them the next time I have electric work to be done. They were on time, responsive, friendly, and seemed knowledgeable. They handled all the paper work, permitting, etc. for us. I felt 100% comfortable giving them the key to our house and they treated it well, keeping everything clean and tidy. I mostly interacted with Jeremy and Tyler. They both were great about answering my questions and taking the time to keep me updated on how the install was going. Once the panels were on the roof, they snapped some photos and sent them to us so we could see how things were coming along. We had a few minor hiccups: They started on 3/21 and estimated a 3 day installation, though scheduled 5 to be safe. It actually took them 6 days to get it up and running. It sounds like they had not done a town house-style place before and the slope of the roof was a bit more than they were expecting. The inspection took significantly longer than that, and the guys at Switch seemed as frustrated about this as I was. They handled all the scheduling and were there for the inspection to ensure everything went smoothly. The inspector did not like the cutoff switch they had installed for the system and they had to install another one, which delayed things a bit further but was no inconvenience for us. The (optional) system monitor they installed had an old firmware version and it could not talk to the inverter. This sounded like a supplier issue, but it took an additional week to work it out and get a functioning monitor installed. All in all, the monitor ended up being more of a hassle than it was worth, although it is nice to be able to see fancy graphs of the system's production. All in all, it took almost a month to get the system working, permitted, and monitored, which was longer than expected, but I'm very happy with the results. The installed pendant lights also look very nice.

All of our interactions with Switch Electric were excellent - they were on time, knowledgeable, and did a great job on our install! They were also able to accommodate our request to schedule an install before they had come out to give a quote, since we were moving to a new home and have electric cars - chargers were a pretty high priority. We have several other electrical projects planned, and intend to use them for the remaining work.

Tyler and his team did an amazing job. We were truly impressed by their level of professionalism, knowledge and reliability. Every single member of the team was friendly and courteous. They where always on time and available to us at anytime to answer questions and to put our minds at ease. They cleaned up after themselves and made the experience for us a pleasant one. We have already passed their name along to others who needed similar projects done and we truly recommend them to anyone.

First off, I want people to know about their 15% discount for Angie's List members, which I didn't see (it's in the hard copy magazine that Angie's List sends out each month) until after I had paid them. So no 15% refund after the fact, they said... They did good work in bad conditions, having to climb around in our attic crawl space filled with rat droppings and who knows what else. They cleaned up after themselves before they left every evening. It took them longer to do the job than they had estimated, and left our housesitter without any power in the kitchen and living area (except for the refrigerator) over a weekend. So besides that, we are very satisfied with the work they did - they worked really hard and consulted us on any changes or additions.

The guys that came were really nice. They did a great job except I actually paid extra, and my one complaint is that even though I paid extra for a bigger fan the fan did not cover the whole in the ceiling. So there's still like a quarter inch, half inch line in the ceiling that is not covered by the fan so I actually have a whole in my ceiling that's not covered. And I wasn't very pleased about that and the other thing is the guys you know I said well you know it's not covering a whole in the ceiling where the other fan was and like I said I paid extra to have a bigger fan and they just kind of ho hummed it, I mean that was this is what you paid for this what you got it wasn't like they even suggested that they could fix it or maybe there was something I could buy that would cover that. The fan itself was great the guys were very nice but again I was disappointed.

Installer arrived as scheduled. Removed the old fans and installed new ones. He informed us that there wasn't an outlet through the roof for one of the fans so it couldn't be connected. Both fans were visual upgrades to the bathrooms.

Switch Electric did a general update on my 1959 home -- bringing it up to code, rewiring it and making sure the permits were in place. This included a basement re-wire (including furnace), putting in a new upgraded panel, and a new meter. It also included running a new dedicated 20A circuit to a microwave. While they did this with a minimum amount of sheetrock damage, the circuit does work and Switch Electric is not responding to fix it. After the initial work, two circuits would short out constantly -- the microwave and a general bedroom-area circuit. They came out and fixed the bedroom-area circuit, but just shrugged their shoulders at the microwave circuit. To this day, the microwave throws the breaker every seven or eight times a week. The company is non-responsive to e-mail.

The entire experience working with Tyler and his crew at Switch Electric was excellent from start to finish. Scheduling was easy; the electricians (Aaron and Dan) were prompt, professional, efficient, tidy, and very knowledgeable. The new bathroom fan they installed works great and the previously unreliable bedroom lights now work properly (trouble-shooting and repair took them all of 2-3 minutes, which they didn't end up charging for). They educated me on the options for rewiring my 1969-built rental currently plagued with solid-core aluminum wires, and showed me some of the key problem areas up in the attic. I am hiring them again, this time to install a portable generator kit in a panel for my primary residence, and will hire them -eventually- to rewire the rental. Without reservation, I highly recommend Switch Electric to anyone in their service area needing electrical work.

They were very knowledgeable and efficient. I was very impressed, I was more impressed with them than the other companies that came out to give us a quote.

Horribly. They promised me a time slot and then refused to honor it, and then told me that they're not going to come out and do the work at all. They refused to give me a refund even though they had already been paid and they did no work. They are clearly con artists that are looking to make a sucker out of you. Stay away from them.

Estimate process was easy and Switch came is as lowest bidder. Jesse arrived on time to do the work (a bit early actually) and was extremely friendly and professional. He did a great job. I needed to help him lift the TV onto the wall but was happy to do two minutes of work instead of him calling in someone to assist. He missed hooking up one wire initially but fixed the error happily and quickly when I pointed it out. I will certainly use Switch again - reasonably priced, professional and friendly staff and high quality work.

They asked me to call, but I told them I don't use the phone (it rarely is working). They offered a schedule slot two weeks out, and I accepted. A week later, they sent me another message offering to get me in "tomorrow". I responded "yes", and even turned on my phone, called them (got their voice mail), and gave them my number. That never panned out. Then, days later, they CALL me and I just happened to have the phone on. They said they were calling to schedule my service. I told them I didn't understand, because I thought I was already scheduled. They said they would hold the slot for me until a certain time, and I responded to it before that time. Heck, they even sent me ANOTHER message since then, so they DEFINITELY saw it (they may have ignored it, though). Regardless, they did NOT have me on their calendar even though they promised to, AND THEY ALREADY TOOK MY MONEY. I am reported the transaction as fraud and reporting them to the BBB. They wasted my time and my money and were completely unprofessional about the whole experience. Feel free to contact me if you have questions about them, but DO NOT USE SWITCH ELECTRIC.

Switch came out to our house 3 or 4 times, with the latest job installing a Generac auto standby generator. Switch arrived and finished in time, while keeping me in the loop during the installation process. Over the 4 last years, Switch consistently demonstrated high quality, efficiency while providing good customer service, when doing electrical work at our house.

Joe and Jeremy showed up exactly when expected and we walked through all of the items on my list of repairs from the estimate. After we confirmed the items needing attention they got to work. They were cheerful and had a friendly banter going most of the day. As they worked through items on the list the discovered other potential issues and brought them to my attention. They also were great about asking clarifying questions if something wasn't clear or if a small decision needed to be made. If I had one teeny complaint, it would be that through the course of the day some mud and dirt got tracked in and I had to spend the evening mopping after they left. That said, overall a very positive experience and I will gladly hire them to perform electrical work for me again.

They did a great job. At first i was suspicious of a recommendation to upgrade my panel, but more research proved them right! I will definitely use Switch Electric again.

We had hired a handyman to do this; when he arrived he said he couldn't do it because the space was too small -- required going through crawl space, etc. After that, we contacted about a dozen handymen and electricians (all via Angie's List) and Switch was the only one that responded that they could do the work. They arrived as scheduled, were extremely courteous, professional and efficient. It only took about 30 minutes for the whole job. We are ecstatic to finally have the use of our master bath again! Great job! We would definitely hire them again.

This was a big deal purchase. It turned out okay. It took longer than we thought. The inspector came and we are still waiting on a clearance from the inspector. We have not received that yet. It took them quite a while to come out after I bought the deal -- about a month. The price of the big deal did not work with out our house. That is the very lowest possible cost. It cost quite a bit more than we thought it was going to. We are still waiting on the inspector to sign off. The experience was good except that it cost considerably more than we thought it was going to cost, so that I guess you would call bad. But when they finally got around to doing it everything went fine. The inspector said several changes had to be made and that has not been done yet. My advice would be to go ahead and use them, but don't expect it to be as clear cut as it says in the ad. I mean, they were fine and did a good job, but nevertheless it is misleading when they say so much for this generator because for most people that is not enough. Everything so far seems okay. They responded to us quickly enough. They came when they said they would.

I was happy with the work. It was all good. The workers were great.

Outstanding service. Extremely professional, were right on time and finished ahead of schedule. Explained and verified everything that needed to be done. Would definitely recommend their service. Took a while to get on the schedule, but it was peak generator install season, worth the wait!
