Extremely helpful. I was told some pointers on my particular vehicle to help with the transmission life. They were very willing to answer questions. This is the second vehicle I have had serviced there and will return when I need more transmission help.

We have used this shop for years. They are trustworthy, prompt, & professional. They call with their diagnosis and explain things clearly. They are done when they promise or they have a good explanation of why they can't get the job done quite yet. We will continue to use this shop whenever we need auto repairs.

At first they thought it was a loose battery ground. Worked for a couple of days. Had to bring it back. Turns out it was plugs and wires. Being that I brought it back , they put in the plugs and wires and did not charge me labor. Been going to them for a while, and have always had a good experience. Thank You

It is with pleasure that I provide a review for Monroe Foreign Auto Repair.  The clutch in our Mitsubishi Eclipse appeared to be slipping, so we called auto repair shops for estimates.  The two things that we look for when seeking estimates are a sincere desire to be of service and cost.  Mike at Monroe Foreign Auto not only took the time to answer our questions, he also was very thoughtful in evaluating our car’s problems.  He gave us an estimate which included tax, and we found that he was $200 cheaper.  He told us that the mechanics are long-time employees and very thorough in their work.  After bringing the car in, he called to confirm that there was very little clutch left.  He also indicated the need for new radiator hoses and a new wheel stud to replace the broken one. What really impressed us was how clean and organized the shop was. This indicates to us that this shop takes great pride in both their work and customer service.  Upon picking up the car, we were given an itemized invoice that clearly displayed the cost of each new part used and the cost of labor for each action taken.  The estimate given before the work was done matched the final bill.  The final surprise … this shop even washed our car and vacuumed the interior!  Our initial observation that Mike and the mechanics had a sincere desire to be of service to their customers was certainly proven true.  We are so happy that we found an auto repair shop that values integrity.

I brought in my 1997 VW Jetta, which I purchased used. 180,000 miles on it and the previous owner did a lot of their own work. Monroe foreign auto repair VW knowledge seems in depth. They knew just based on my description what the issue was likely to be. They fixed the problem and other problems that were encountered. There were parts actually installed wrong by the previous owner which they fixed. They talked to me after they took an initial look at the car to ensure I was ok with the work that was to be completed and provided a rough estimate. It actually ended up costing less. They were very courteous, and completed the work quickly. I would recommend them to anyone who has a late model foreign vehicle. Everything was specifically outlined on the receipt. They are AAA, a better business bureau member, and ASE certified.

We would recommend them hands-down. It went great. These guys were so good. We should have written a letter. They found that the problem was that it was just low on oil and they let it run for a while. All they charged us for was the oil change. They let it run for a while and the noise went away. We were so pleased that we are going back to them to put a new heart into the car. Their prices are what we would pay at other oil change places if we didn't have any coupon. They are young. They were recommended to us by another car place.

We chose Monroe Foreign Auto based primarily on positive word of mouth feedback from friends who have been familiar with Bob and his business for years. It was important for us to find a good local mechanic for future work on our recently purchased 2010 VW Jetta TDI. Since we purchased the vehicle used with 19K miles and it's our first diesel powered car, we thought it best to have it checked out and serviced at 20K by a qualified professional. Bob is friendly and very knowledgable about foreign vehicles, especially Volkswagens. His shop is clean and well organized. I was a bit hesitant to write a positive review based on one routine maintenance visit but I'm very confident that Bob and his staff would handle any big repair issue efficiently and fairly. There are other, cheaper, local repair shops (been there) but we will definitely go back to Monroe Foreign Auto. Next time will be our 1997 Tacoma with 200K.

OVERALL WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE WORK. HOWEVER, THE CAR SEEMED TO HESITATE WHEN I WOULD PUT IT INTO GEAR. I WAS NOT SURE IF THAT WAS MY IMAGINATION OR THAT IT WAS HAVING TROUBLE. FINALLY IT SEEMED TO SUBSIDE.

MONROE FOREIGN AUTO REPAIR DID AN EXCELLENT JOB FIGURING OUT WHY THE CAR WOULDN'T START. WE'VE BEEN TAKING OUR VOLKSWAGON TO THEM FOR A ABOUT A YEAR, AND WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR EXPERIENCE, SERVICE AND KNOWLEDGE. I WAS ESPECIALLY IMPRESSED THAT THEY MADE IT RIGHT ABOUT THE SCRATCHES ON THE HOOD OF THE CAR.
