Joe came over and gave me a quote which was very reasonable. He also seemed to be very flexible when talking about what needed to be done. The quality of the work was good and the price was reasonable. The thing I did not like was that towards the end they had a list of items that they stated they had underestimated. the list was very long. I looked over the list and saw and the bottom line $$. The difference was only about $1700. I thought I can live with this so I signed the amendment. When the final bill came it was over $3,000 more than what was shown on the bottom line. What a surprise. I asked why. He stated that the spread sheet forgot to add the sales tax. With the original costs and the mark-ups side by side how can they add the sales tax on one side and not the other. Plus they were looking at all the differences. I am absolutely sure this was not a mistake and just one of their tactics. Even after that I was nickel and dimed on things like excess blocks. The contract stated that they would take extra blocks back and I would not be charged for material or labor. Gary, the foreman's response was "common it is only a couple hundred bucks". I was there while they were doing much of the project. In some cases they charged by the hour but more than doubled the actual hours put in.
I would have felt much better if the cost had been higher in the beginning and they did not find ways to add cost as we got into the project. This was a very big disappointment and I would not recommend them due to the way they conduct their business.

Trees died within first year, Leonardi wasn't responding to phone calls even though this was within warranty period.

The installation took one day with 2 men working until after dark. They were very responsive to our concern that each plant be straight which they took care of. We had to postpone twice; once due to bad weather and once because they were all backed up with landscaping projects postponed due to the weather.
