I called to have our refrigerator repaired. It was leaking and then freezing under our deli drawer. I called and spoke with Justin. He came out, diagnosed the problem, and then ordered the part he said it needed. I had to follow up with him to find out if the part was in...should have been my first sign. At first, he didn't seem to remember who I was and I figured it was because he has many calls. Turns out the part was in, but had not followed up with me. We made an appointment, he replaced the part, and within a couple weeks, it was apparent that the problem was still continuing as if it had never been fixed. So, I called him back, as he had indicated there was a guarantee on work, and I still had a receipt saying as such. No return calls. I texted him. No return texts. Finally, I called him and indicated I would be contacting Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau. Then I got an immediate call back. He came back, checked it again, and said that there was something else wrong, but there would be no charge. Came back a third time, and supposedly fixed the entire fridge. Long story short, not only is my fridge not fixed (It runs and cools things, but continues to leak and freeze water under the deli drawer), but he actually put the brackets for my shelves in BACKWARDS, and took off without putting the shelves in correctly. I called him back to fix that, so I could put my shelves back in correctly. At this point, I don't want him back to fix the fridge. He hasn't fixed it. I am just out $400 for nothing. And I am questioning how this company had such great reviews here. This whole debacle began last summer, and between waiting for parts, and having him back to fix what he was supposed to fix under warranty, this took several months of time. Do not hire this person.

I hired Alpine Appliance Repair because they had good reviews here. I should have also checked their Yelp reviews that showed their recent service record was not good. I have had great success with Angie's List companies for over a decade now. Justin came out 3 weeks ago to look at my Whirlpool refrigerator (bottom freezer type). Ice machine is not making ice and lights are out in the top of it. He said that he had to order 3 circuit boards and then would come back to fix it. I paid around $195 (with tax) and in a follow-up call with Justin the following week said the circuit boards and repair would cost around $645. I agreed to have him proceed with ordering them. I have called him over 10 times and sent him as many text messages inquiring when would he be coming back to finish the repairs. He has constantly said he didn't know when the circuit boards would come in, that that was in the hands of the company office. (I now do not believe there is any company office, as I have also called their main phone number that goes to "John" who responds that he is under a refrigerator and will call you back when he is done). And you don't ever get a call back when you are already a customer "in waiting". Also, while diagnosing the refrigerator he cracked the top left plastic cover inside the refrigerator when he was prying it down to peek inside that area. (I was willing to overlook that as long as the main refrigerator's issues got repaired). So disappointed after 3 weeks of run-arounds and now no responses. I have been super nice and patient. Sounds like they once were a good company and are now in a serious decline. Yelp reviews show serious issues similar to mine since 2016.

Justin showed up when he said he would. Diagnosed the problem and was able to complete the job within an hour.

Justin was prompt and efficient. He checked out the washer and found nothing wrong with the machine, but made some good suggestions for keeping it working well and for cleaning it. I decided to replace the door seal. He ordered it and returned 3 days later to install it. The first repair call was subtracted from the cost of the second. I felt like Justin knew what he was doing and tried to do the best for me. He was even nice to my dog! I would hire this company again.

Excellent, called ahead and was able to diagnose and replace element on the same day.

We manage apartments, and he is our "go to guy".

John is very honest & conservative. He won't fix something that won't last. For example: we had an old refrigerator - he could fix it; and, he could have kept on fixing it. However, he was very honest & said, it was probably time to buy a new refrigerator.

They are great.

Justin did a great job. He had to replace our fan in our kitchen frig as it was no longer working (which meant the refrig wasn't cool any longer). It was a difficult job because he had to move the frig to work on it and our kitchen is very, very tight. He had to work to get it installed correctly. Our refrig is now working fine. I'd highly recommend Justin and Alpine Appliance.

He diagnosed the problem fairly quickly, had the needed part on hand, and replaced the part to bring the washing machine back into working order. I am very pleased with their work.

John was prompt and helpful, ordered a part after looking at our washing machine. Returned with part, replaced it, and it works great ever since! We then referred him to my mom, and he was extremely helpful, even though her machine couldn't be repaired, he connected her with local resources to find a used washer, since she is on a limited income. He is an extremely ethical, compassionate, kind man!!

I called John to fix my LG dryer, as it stopped working. He came by and started the drum rolling by hand and suggested nothing was wrong and he was not sure why that happened. He charged us 93 $ for the visit. Once he was gone, dryer started to stop again, and since then i have called him more than 5 times over 1 month, every time leaving voice message. My wife also tried and called him a couple times without any return phone calls. I feel like i was cheated 100 dollars out of me and my problem wasn't solved. I would never use them again as well recommend not to use for anyone else.

He came out and discovered that the motor was not working correctly.  Since the dishwasher was old they did not make these replacement parts for this particular model.  He went online and found a used part but when he installed this it still did not work properly.  When he was trying to put the dishwasher back together the wires got pinched.  I called him back and he came out to fix the issue with the wires.  After he left I tried using it and the dishwasher shorted out again, I called him once again and he came out and fixed the issue.  The owner offered me a $65 rebate for the issues that I had to deal with.  I never asked for this refund and this was back on May 5, 2014 and I have yet to receive this rebate.  I have called the company multiple times but they have not responded.

He just used one of the dials to demonstrate the problem and gave advise as to get another.  He could order one and send it if I needed to.  I picked one up at a local dealer who had the part in stock.

The technician determined through testing that the start capacitor was bad. He didn't have one in stock, so he ordered one and when it arrived three days later, came out and installed it. The fridge is working fine now.

John was awesome.
My Amana fridge was busted so I called a few repairmen to get a quote.  After doing a little research online, I discovered that my compressor needed to be replaced ($800+ job).  Unlike a few other repairmen that I called, John came up with an alternative to replacing the entire compressor.  Total cost was only $300 ($160 for labor, $140 for parts).   He was prompt and very professional.   I would definitely use Alpine Appliance in the future! 

Great! I called John at 9:30AM and he was at my door at 10:15. I know that isn't a typical response time for any repair person, and it just happened to work in the schedule, but still it was a massive relief to not have my entire Alaska fishing trip worth of Salmon go bad!
