Great job, good price. Even had the part needed with him so fixed on the first trip.

Terrible. Dryer had an electronic problem where display would start blinking and alarming. Unable to start the dryer until it cooled. Technician attributed error to lint build up in the dryer for which he belittled my wife for allowing it to happen. He ordered and replaced a dryer side vent kit which he installed 3 days later for $230. Two days later, electronics completely failed after two more uses. So mad that I didn't call him back and just went and purchased a new dryer. Didn't want the nickel and dime treatment.

It went well. The cause of the problem was quickly determined, a part was ordered, and then the new part was quickly installed a few days later.

Ray changed out what was essentially a sensor for spin speed. He analyzed the problem, talked to me about what the issue was and what it would cost to fix (parts, labor, tax included). He fixed it and then made sure it was working correctly. While waiting for the washer to run through it's paces, he explained what the sensor he replaced was looking for at certain places in the cycle. I appreciate this kind of explanation.

It went very well. Ray arrived within the expected arrival window. He installed my dryer for me, by installing the electrical pigtail and changing the dryer exhaust so that it vents to the side. He was able to complete the work with the parts on hand instead of insisting that I purchase an expensive dryer vent kit.

After inspection, I was told that the oven control board was the problem and that it needed to be replaced. Given the cost of the repair and taking into consideration that the oven was 13 years old, we decided not to make the repair and just get a new oven.

It went very well. He showed up exactly when he said he would, install the part while I waited. It was very easy and he was really nice.

Work was performed and warranty noted. And that was good as the new part was noisier than expected at times. I called Ray and he scheduled to look at it with a backup part in hand if needed. He changed the part out promptly. So not only is Ray fair and good, but stands behind his warranty. Thanks!

Excellent. Ray arrived when he said he would, identified the problem, had the correct part with him because he had asked for model information ahead of time and completed the work effectively and efficiently. Highly recommend.

Excellent! While scheduling he asked how old the oven was, as well as make and model, and he took a moment to verify that he would be able to order parts for it BEFORE he came out which, of course, was a huge time and fee saver. Before I got on Angie's List, I hadn't realized he could repair an oven... I had hired him a few years ago to help with our refrigerator and he was amazing during that episode as well. I will call him first from now on when anything goes wrong with any appliance in our home!

Had to wait 8 days to get someone to come out ie. 8 days without a refrigerator/freezer. (I couldn't find anyone else who was significantly earlier than that so it's not so much a criticism of this outfit as it is of the industry. A business that could come out more promptly is needed.) Sno-King's charge to come out, $55, was much lower than the $99-115 that others are charging. Over the phone I was told an estimate if the problem was the relay and that it probably wasn't worth fixing if the problem was the compressor. The serviceman was on time and very quickly was able to identify the problem as the relay, total charge about $150. The only criticism of Sno-King is that they wouldn't accept a credit card and I had to write a paper check.

Our gas washer stopped heating properly. Ray from Sno King came out the next day diagnosed it and replaced the broken part in a half hour.

He was able to diagnosis the problem just from hearing me explain what was happening. Basically, the oven wouldn't turn off. He showed up on time, replaced the electronic board, and was done in less than an hour. I asked if he could replace the washer hoses, as they are behind a stackable in a small space and he did that in about 15 minutes. He was courteous and professional and the stove has been working well. Having the board replaced was much less than buying a new stove!

productive but worst case scenario - rotator drum rusted and motor needed to be replaced - the cost to do so was comparable to buying a new washer, which is what we ended up doing. The appliance repairman was quick and efficient and very knowledgeable.

The dryer was not spinning as fast as it should at the end of the cycle causing the clothes to still be quite wet at the end.  He found the problem quickly - a bad door lock and replaced it.  Afterward the fast spin cycle was fine.
