Damage to trim when removed and reinstalled Hair and bubbles in completed floor Drips and a little puddling in a couple of places. Trim had to be added to stairs and this is not their skill set. MIke tried hard to be responsive. At first glance, the floor is beautiful. I just expected more.

subcontractors rushed first job. poor result. owner sent new team to re-do. result 2nd time was satisfactory. owner did adjust pricing to accommodate significant inconveniences

They use sub-contractors who barely speak English. Subs are not paid until job is done...so the work was clearly rushed.We h ad to have them come back a second time to correct obvious errors. The work was again very sub-par. I gave them a "C" grade because the owner at least adjusted the invoice due to the errors and inconveniences.

Mike was very professional and went above and beyond to accommodate our changing remodel schedule.  The countertop company had r/s us twice and Mike rescheduled, working around our timeline, without a problem.
My husband and I were very impressed with Mike - he always returned our calls and even though we wanted the final finish put down before the counters were installed he really encouraged us not to have it done because of all the dust (needless to say, we were very happy we listened to him!).  He even went so far as to make sure all the doors to the bedrooms were closed and he also took the time to take a rug out of one of our bathrooms and push it up against the master bedroom door - so we would get less of the smells into our bedroom.  It's little things like that, which made him an even greater person to work with.
Mike and his company are the best.  We've had our floors done before and never have we had such a good experience as with Professional Hardwoods!

They were really good and we just recommended them to a neighbor of ours. They were thorough and did a good job. We liked the color and the results. They seemed to really know their business and what to suggest in terms of things to be careful of, what we needed to do before we had our hardwood finished and what we needed to do after. They suggested we have somebody clean our house afterward and also to have our air ducts cleaned afterwards. These were things we did not think about, but were important, such as if our insurance company can pay for this process we need to be sure to mention it.

We had some hardwood repair to be done. I called this because I trusted the ratings here. Guys came and looked at the work and said he will send me a estimate. Then a week goes by without the estimate and I call him and he said he will send the estimate but doesnt. I send a mail to him and he sends a expensive estimate (650$). Since I wanted to get it fixed soon I reply to the mail and said ok, lets do it. No response. A week goes by, and I send the mail again. No response again. I went with a redbeacon guy who did a fabulous job at a realtively cheaper cost (475$ including material).

They did a great job. They were professional. They came in and their bid was right on track what we have expected. They cleaned up. They are a good business. Their price was reasonable.

They were nice people. I never ended up actually using them just because it didn't quite work out in terms of the timing but I'll definitely consider them in the future. Their customer service was good enough. They were really good at getting everything scheduled and coming out in a timely manner.

These guys did a great job. We were really nervous how the color and finish were going to turn out because it is a very light finish that needed to match with existing cabinets and woodworking as well as a completely new kitchen and bathroom. It really turned out nicely and they were great to work with. They worked very hard to show us what the color would be before starting the work, but, still, you never know until it's done.

You needed to have a little patience in communicating with them because English is not their native tongue, but ultimately there were no problems related to this. They were very responsive in dealing with any issues and took great pride in their work. They did an excellent job in keeping the dust to a minimum which was key because the rest of the house was not under construction and needed to be protected. With respect to dust control and cleanup, they worked hard to set expectations properly and meet or exceed them. I would definitely use them again and we have already recommended them to friends of ours who ultimately chose to use them.

This is the second time that we’ve used them and they did a beautiful job; their work is just really pristine. They were really good and it is always a pleasure to work with them. I would use them again and I’ve recommended them.

I called on a Thursday, got the bid on Friday and had the work done on Monday. He was a little late for the estimate but he did call....as long as I get the call I understand things happen. The newly refinished floor looks beautiful. I would recommend this company and I would use them again.

They did work for a real estate client of mine. Very flexible with scheduling - completed work on time and on budget. I will definitely recommend them to more of my clients.

We used Professional Hardwood Services 10 years ago at another home and were pleased with their work at that time. For this project we had pony walls removed between our kitchen and family room (done by someone else). We chose to have a border inlay installed where the walls had been, rather than weave in new hardwoods. Mike took time to work with us to ensure that the border inlay was installed as we wanted in order to best showcase its design. We then had the rest of the hardwoods refinished. They taped off rooms/cupboards well. Everthing went just fine and they finished a day early. I am very pleased with the completed work and believe that their pricing is fair and reasonable. I would highly recommend this company.

They did an extensive job and they were good. They were very professional. They were prompt and they did an excellent job. Their price was fair for what it was.

They did the work for my clients. They provided a quote for us on the weekend because they new it was time sensitive for the inspection/contract negotiations. Then they were on time, cleaned up well and did a beautiful job - my clients were very happy with the work. I saw both the before and after and it was great. I have added them to my service provider list for all of my real estate clients.

The dust control was excellent and I realized I wasted my time putting up my own the night before. I was very concerned about damage to my new appliances and noticed what appeared to be scratches on my range. Mike came to the house right away to check it out. Thankfully the 'scratches' turned out to be finish from the floor. In a matter of minutes there was no trace of it. I was not looking forward to the process, but it turned out to be more tolerable than I expected.

I was extremely happy with the work they did. The refinished floors looks much better than how it looked as a brand new floor 20 years ago. I also got two other bids but this company came in lower than the other two. They were on time, finished the work when they said they would, and they left the house spotless, which I think must be hard to do with all the dust that gets created. I also had a lot of other projects done to the house, replacing vinyl floor and painting, etc... and refinishing the hardwood floors was the only one that I didn't have anything to complain about. I can't say enough nice things about the guys who did the work. I highly recommend this company to any friends, or family. I would definitely use them again for my next house.
