Andy did a great job: from clear communication at the outset, to proactive ordering of parts he might need, to prompt scheduling, and then repair. I'm glad to commend him to others. (My washer is an LG, and some repair shops don't service LG.)

Andy is a real find. We were referred to him by another repairman who didn't take calls in Wedgwood. Andy called me back within a reasonable time, and get this: he explained how to fix my machine over the phone. It took him maybe 20 minutes, but he gave the time freely and patiently. I offered to pay him and he said the telephone advice was free, I call that not only knowledgeable, but generous. I would call him again in a heartbeat, and if he had to come to the house and spend time I'd know he was charging me honestly for any work he did.

Andy is simply the best. We communicated thoroughly about the problem - phone and text - and he resolved it. We had water leaking from the refrigerator and it was uncertain from where. He quickly identified the problem then fixed it promptly and efficiently.

I contacted Andy late Friday night when my Samsung fridge was not cooling well. He asked for some details (model, noises, etc.) and quickly diagnosed the problem over the phone. I followed his advice and solved the problem (stuck fan) without needing a service call - or charge. After hours service at no charge - what more can you ask for?

Andy arrived on time and was thorough and professional with a sense of humor. He had to go behind the oven to complete repairs, slightly beyond what would be expected for what we needed replaced. He squeezed into the tight space with a sense of humor, there were no additional charges, and he said he made the new wire longer than the one he was removing so it wouldn't be so tight the next time.

We had a great experience with Andy, even though he didn't come to our house to fix our oven. I left a message with Andy describing our situation, and he returned the call within an hour or two. Based on our description, he said it sounded like either a bad controller ($$$) or a burnt electrical connection in the back of the range. To narrow it down, he asked us to pull out the unit and look at the electrical box to see if there were any burnt connections. When we did that, we saw that one of the electric wires had detached -- eureka! We took a picture and had a quick phone consult with Andy -- he gave us advice on how to reattach the wire, and also recommended some steps we could take to avoid this happening again. Done! Now our range is working perfectly again! Andy was prepared to not accept any payment, but we insisted on sending him something for his time. Andy is knowledgeable, honest and professional -- I highly recommend him.

Andy was great. In a series of 5-6 phone calls and text message exchanges (with photos of the refrig), he walked me through the possibilities and determined it was a broken relay, at least. He then came over within 30 minutes, even though it was 6PM on a Thursday, and tried replacing the relay, but it turned out there was more electrical damage in the compressor, so he advised best to get a new fridge.

Our 18-year old front-loading Maytag washing machine started to smoke (literally!) and then stopped; Andy was recommended to us as someone who might be able to fix it.

Andy did a great job fixing the machine, but he also was one of the most professional repair people we've used.  He asked questions early on to determine if this was a problem he could fix; he let us know what all of our options were, and what the costs would be; and he pointed out any problems that might crop up after the initial problem was solved, even if they were unlikely.

He also tracked down a rare replacement part (the only one in the USA -- in Hawaii!) and had it shipped to us.  The price was very reasonable, and we are completely satisfied.  If and when we have appliance problems in the future, we'll be calling Andy first.

We called on Monday and he came on Wednesday about 6:30 pm. He arrived with a water pump in hand in case he had to replace it, but was able to clear a clog quickly. The machine works great and it didn't cost as much as we thought. Andy was courteous and pleasant, but worked efficiently. Since my husband had a household repair business for years, he is rather critical. Not only will Andy be asked back for any future repair work, but we will also refer his name to our friends and relatives in the area!

When I first talked to him on the phone and told him what was happening with our fridge, he asked several "diagnostic" questions and was able to tell exactly what parts had failed.  He had all the necessary parts in his truck so when he arrived (very punctual) he went right to work.  He had to defrost the back wall of the freezer which we hadn't noticed was covered with frost.  He put a protective  mat on our hardwood floor to avoid damaging in when he rolled the fridge out from the wall.  He had to replace several parts and did it all very professionally.  The total cost seemed high, but most of it was the cost of the parts.  His service call was very reasonably priced and we now have a next-to-new fridge.  We probably won't need another fridge repair, but if we need any appliance repaired, we'll definitely call Andy.  He was great!

Andy was awesome! Super nice on the phone--asking detailed questions about the problem, giving free tips on how to try fixing it myself, offering to come out the next afternoon when he was already busy. When my effort to fix it didn't work, I texted him the details of my fridge, and he already had the part he needed for the repair--a new thermostat. Andy showed up early within the time window he gave me, and he was really quick with the repair--showing me all his steps to both confirm and fix the problem. He was transparent, competent, and helpful, and I would definitely use him again!

Andy asked me questions over the phone and then worked me into the end of his schedule.  He called before he came, checked out the washer and explained in detail and showed me what was wrong.  We made the decision not to repair it.

We appreciated Andy's manner very much.  We would call him next time without reservation.

Replacement of icemaker went very well, though Andy needed photos of the serial numbers of the fridge and icemaker; I couldn't get to the ### of the icemaker but had gotten it from Kitchenaid Customer Service.0
Andy supplied the part, which was fine - buying the part super-cheap online is fine if you're going to install it yourself, but it's not really fair the expect a professional to then come out and do it for you - and arrived just as scheduled.
He not only replaced the icemaker which was so difficult to access that he brought a mirror to see the mounting screws (which is why we didn't attempt it), but fixed a jamming of the ice cube tray which had bothered us for a year.
Good work, neatly and cleanly done.

I originally called Mark Wiseman, an Angie's list provider who listed Saturday hours. My bottom of refrigerator freezer had been accumulating frost for over a week and although I moved everything out of it to a different now overstuffed freezer, thinking it may have been too full, it continued to get frost. I called on Saturday thinking I could schedule an appointment the following Monday. Mark gave me Andy Kao's name and said he serviced the Lake City area where I live. I called Andy and to my happy surprise he agreed to come by that day after another appointment. He arrived in good time, assessed the problem and fixed it by replacing the drain trough tube. He was professional and did good work. I would definitely use him again.
