Peak Builders Inc

Description of Work: We had a large remodeling project involving a kitchen, three bathrooms, a basement and laundry room, windows, doors, and various other elements, approximately $150,000 of work at our Mercer Island home. This builder, Jeff Rudd of Peak Builders, had been suggested by someone at Dunn Lumber. Jeff twice canceled our initial appointment, for family activities, before we finally got a meeting. During our meeting we spent about two or three hours walking through the site with him, describing in detail what we needed. It was surprising that he didn't take any notes, but he said that keeps everything in his head. He was friendly, had various suggestions, and overall gave us a positive impression. At the end of the meeting he said he would give us a proposal by the end of the week. At this point we were feeling good about Jeff, and were looking forward to his proposal. Though we did wonder how he could do a proposal without having taken any notes or measurements. Had we gotten one, and had the numbers been reasonable, we would have gone ahead and hired him. Unfortunately, what actually happened was that he vanished from sight and was never heard from again. Nothing. No phone call, no email, no proposal, no anything. Well, given the disappearing act, it's a good thing we never got past first base. It would have been disastrous to have him vanish once money had already been paid and the work was already underway. Needless to say, we found another builder.

Description of Work: I have been using Peak Builders Inc for remodeling. They have already finished some projects for me and we are in the middle of one project now. They recently replaced all the interior doors and installed new fireplaces in the house.
