He gave me an estimate, we had to work to make it fit my budget for the job. He did a good job and I will continue to use him in the future.

They were very professional. They cleaned up my nieghbors yard where the retaining wall had damaged his yard. They did a excellent job.

I just moved into a house in June 2011, and the previous owner did NO landscaping in the back yard; it was dirt and weeds. He did, however, install his own sprinkler system, which was done somewhat poorly. I chose Zandtco because they were the least expensive of the three landscapers who provided estimates, and they were local. (I try to patronize local businesses if possible.) The estimate gave the cost associated with each of the tasks mentioned above.

Originally, I was told the work was to begin just after Labor Day, but then I received a call stating they'd be out on the Thursday before Labor Day, but since I would not be home that day, I requested the following day, which they were able to do. The two young men showed up at the appointed time and began their work. One of the guys finished up and left around noon, while the other ended up staying until 5:00pm! While adjusting the sprinklers, he discovered a 'freeze break' (basically a leak) in one of the irrigation tubes, which he fixed at no charge.

Their work met my expectations. The area for the patio they prepped was perfect, and all I had to do was install the paver edging and lay the pavers (323 of them), which I finished by the next day. My next task was to lay the sod, which took two days to do. It was long, hot work, but it saved me over $350 in labor (cost was provided on the estimate). Now I have the beginnings of a nice looking back yard, and feel a sense of accomplishment that I was able to do some of the work myself.

The only thing i would have liked more from Zandtco was better communication. I'd call the office and leave a message and no one would return my calls for 3-4 days. I nearly gave up on them. And as mentioned, they told me they'd come do work on a certain date, but moved it to an earlier date (yay!) with only one day notice, which didn't work for me. Fortunately they were able to accommodate me.

Overall, I was pleased with the work they did and would hire them again for future projects.
