The following is a letter that I sent to the owner of QPI, Inc., Oct. 28, 2014
To: Owner of QPI, Inc.
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Joe Drazich and I have just had a very disappointing conversation with Tasha in your Marysville office. As a result of my conversation and Tasha?s actions, I wish to cancel the balance of work your company was in the process of completing today on my above job site.
We hired your company to insulate our above project and have paid you several thousand dollars for work you have completed and today was to be the final work of blowing insulation into the ceilings. We were scheduled to have this work completed yesterday but when your people didn?t show up we contacted your office to learn your driver didn?t show up for work, so, you re-scheduled today to complete the job. I received a call from your employee (who spoke very poor English) telling me he was on site and setting up for the job. I told him I was about 5 minutes away from the site and would immediately return. When I arrived they were inserting the hosing into the attic and I was asked for payment for the balance of the work in the amount of $1,391.75. I told your employee I would have to go back to my office for a check but would return immediately with full payment. (Our job site is about 5 minutes from my home office). When I arrived home my wife said she just got off the phone with Tasha who explained in a very rude manner that if payment wasn?t immediately forthcoming, she would send her crew to another job. I immediately called Tasha and explained I had your check in hand and was on my way back to our site. I also told her not to remove your crew as they had invested a considerable amount of time setting up plus it was imperative this job be completed today as I have other contractors backed up from yesterday when this should have been completed. When I arrived back at the site, your crew was gone.
I retired from my insurance business in 2000 at which time we had 85 employees. If any one of my employees responded as Tasha had, they would be looking for another job. The balance of this job has just cost your company $1,391.75. In addition, you will not be invited to bid the (3) new projects we are just starting. In closing, your company may also look forward to my additional remarks on Angie?s List in the coming days.
Sincerely,
A very unhappy customer,
Joe Drazich Sr.
