Welding
Ken's was the third bid we received for this project. The first bid was $3,800; the second was $2,200. He came to our house and presented his estimate. Once we accepted it, he went to work creating a template from which to create the handrail. He returned to our house twice to confirm that his measurements were correct. On installation day, he and a helper took less than 1 1/2 hours to install the railing.
The railing is powder-coated steel; approximately 45 feet long. Angles and curves and elevation changes were involved.
