It took one 8 hr day to pressure wash the exterior and 3 more days of sanding areas that needed sanding. One coat of primer and 3 finish coats were applied over a 2 day period

Both my wife and I found this team of painters to be very professional in all stages of our house painting. They kept a clean job sight and stayed to the task daily till every detail was complete. I did appreciate that they would ask questions during the process if choices were presented to insure our satisfaction. I would like to add that every team member with this company was very polite and friendly a pleasure to have met them and good to know we have companies of such high integrity in our community.

My husband and I had started a project and it needed finishing. We had re-trimmed and cased our master after purchasing the house and I never got around to finishing painting (hehe). Not knowing good paint from crap I had used glidden and it was peeling here and there on a couple of the bottom window casings. I brought John in to finish the job and sand the peeling spots and re-prime everything to be painted. It was an absolute nightmare and we had to rip out all the interior work that Israel, his employee, had painted. The owner, John was very attentive and professional. He called back the same day, made an appointment to do the bid and then sends his employees in for the work. Israel came and had the room prepped in two hours, then put on his first coat of paint. After that he came to us and asked us to turn our heat on high because it was way to cold in the room. He even borrowed our electric heater and set it up inside as well. We turned the furnace on and within an hour he was spraying his second coat. Shortly after that he packed up and got ready to head out after a total of about 4.5 hours in the house.

Shortly after that I went inside to peek and the paint had sloughed off of the paper and the entire bottom of the sills had pooled with enamel paint. I sent john a picture and he and Israel returned while I was out of the house to start the clean-up. The next day I almost died...they sanded most of the second day, but there were drip marks all over the place and ridges along the sills where they had clearly sanded their hearts out, but at that point, short of stripping it or replacing it, a smooth finish wasn't possible. I went in and sanded with them for a few hours as best as I could, but Israel was impossible to deal with. I would point out a huge drip that needed attention and he would tell me "it's just the wood underneath" or " I think it's ok". They came back to touch things up on the third day and I couldn't miss any more work, so my husband was home. He and Israel had a serious disagreement over his methods and attitude. My husband asked them to finish up and leave and we both let John know that he was not welcome back in our home. John said unfortunately he was already out a couple days of work and Israel was the only person he could send to fix it. Sadly there was just too much to fix for us:(

John gave us $50 off our original $500 bid for the trouble, some of the best brisket I've ever had and his deepest apologies. He had just suffered a serious loss in his family and had been otherwise occupied....having recently experienced a similar situation, we can very much understand how his attention was diverted. For this reason I gave him high marks on responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism. Primer hadn't been used as discussed, despite the $100 charge for it, so for this reason I gave price a B. In the end the job was botched and we were out the money paid to John and the cost of repair/replacement.

It is not my intention in any way to harm his business or future endeavors, but in the event Israel shows up at your home, do not let him in! There is nothing worse than an employee that argues with you after making serious mistakes. I am confident that this is not a regular occurrence for him. However, I felt it was my responsibility to let the next person out there, who might be in a similar situation, know what to expect should Israel come to their home:(

I called John from Angies List. He was close to my residence and he provided a phone number. Others I tried to contact only had emails. I called him on September 5. He came out at 1:00 and he was here on time. He explained what he would need and what would be done. He explained that the trim would be sanded before repainting. The painting of the house would take 2 coats. I found some old paint that had the number assigned to it by Sherwin-Williams paint company. He ordered the paint and picked it along with the trim paint up.John showed up on September 10 at approximately 10:00 a.m..All the windows  were covered and put drop cloths were put down on the concrete patio to keep any overspray or paint dropping off. By 5:00 p.m. the west side was done. The painting continued on the 11th and the east side was done. Both have 2 coats of paint. The window shutters were put back on. They also picked up all their trash and dried paint residue. The house looks great.

It was a very good experience. John is open to questions and comments.

Of the bids we received, John was the most responsive and timely with answering our questions about the bids and scheduling the work.  We had a specific brand and quality of paint we wanted to use and tailored the bid to our paint selection.  His team was prompt and courteous while on the job.  They broke one of our exterior lights and immediately let us know and replaced it.  The house looks great!  We would definitely use him again and recommend him to anyone.
BTW, he has great BBQ.

John and his crew did a wonderful painting job and were very responsive to questions and concerns when we raised them. Interior of house had numerous paint colors and we wanted one color and they did a great job on it.

After our home was painted, our son came in and said wow, this looks and smells like a new house. Our home is 10 years old.
John told us what time he would arrive, about how long it would take and exactly what we could expect. He kept to his schedule, worked around ours and he put all of our furniture back when he was finished. Everything was put back in place, no new dents or scratches, and we couldn't be happier with the professional service he provided. If you are looking for someone to paint your home that you can trust with your furniture, etc., call John's Painting Service. He will treat you and your home with respect and you will be glad that you hired the right person/company for the job.
He did such a great job painting that we asked him to come back and pressure wash our driveway and fence. He made our old fence look like new and the driveway and sidewalk are like new too.
