TOP NOTCH ROOF CARE

Called and spoke with Peter, he quickly responded to my vm. He scheduled a visit to give an estimate. He provided a written estimate and was available for the next weekend. On the day of services Peter arrived a 1/2 hr early to start preparing around the house and to notify neighbors of possible overspray, though he promised to take care of if this occurred. The roof cleaning and gutter cleaning went smoothly and he cleaned up all areas affected. Great customer service and informed us of future upkeep on our roof. I would recommend his services.

I use Peter's services annually for the last 10 years.

I phoned 3 places to get a bid. Peter, the owner of TopNotch got a quote, on paper, to me in two days. I received one other bid by mail, and the last bid by phone. Peter was the only one of the three who called to follow up on his bid. I got his follow up call when I was out of town, we agreed that I would call him when I returned. The "problem" started when I got home and repeatedly phoned the phone number listed on his bid. It went to a voicemail, but it was no longer his. Anyway, I was about to give up when I realized the number he called me w/ had a 425 prefix. I checked back in my cell phone and called him. He was very apologetic and let me know he would fix that problem. We scheduled the job. He and the gentleman who did the work came out on the right day, on time. We discussed two issues prior to them starting work - one was that a portion of our house was a remodel and the roof was less than a year old, so it did not have to be pressure washed - only have the debris blown off. It was quite a bit of square footage, so he dropped the price by 100 bucks. My husband told me to insist that they remove the ends of the downspouts so that our drains and gutters would not get clogged. Well, Peter told me it wasn't needed and that the power of the pressure washer would just blow all of the debris up and out. I did witness that happen and felt OK about them not removing the downspouts. The guy who did the physical labor was polite and efficient. He really moved fast. Our roof is not that pitched but it is high off the ground - he did not have a safety harness - it made me nervous. I covered some bushes w/ tarps and moved potted plants away from the house as instructed. It made for an easier clean up. Water DID come in the house through the skylight, but I was ready for it - as instructed, and there have been no problems w/ that leaking or gutter problems since the roof was cleaned. The moss was quite thick in spots. We are pleased w/ the work that was done and our roof looks good. Peter told me he would put me on a mailing list that would remind me to call to get the debris blown off once a year to keep moss from growing.

The clean up that falls on the ground could have been a little better.
