They where great to deal with. Tony the owner was always involved from beginning to end and did everything that was asked of him and more. Very easy to work with and a great person. Besides that he really knows what he is doing and our yard looks great. Highly recommended!

Terrific! Tony and his guys were great, very professional and hardworking...they were outside in the worst weather! Their work is superb and we are extremely happy with their work ethic, even though they had other jobs in process simultaneously. There was a bit of a scheduling mishap; but other than that his design was extremely professional. Better than what we expected. I would hire him to perform the landscape work as well.

Tony and his team were wonderful to work with. They did an excellent job in arriving on time, they all understood what to do under Tony's leadership, friendly, and cleaned up area after the job. Best of all was Tony's willingness to listen and understand my erosion control goals and his knowledge on landscaping plants and design, loved his suggestions on native plants and placement, confirming my acceptance of plant placement before planting, adding proper soil additives; I appreciate his honesty, all at a fair cost. Tony and his team went beyond my expectations and look to have a long landscaping relationship in the years to come.

The bid was very high. We requested a revised bid with the Angie's list credit showing and also adjustments for parts of the plan that had already been done by our regular landscaper. It was promised within a week. 8 weeks later, despite 3-4 email reminders, we still did not have a revised bid. By that time, it seemed the contractor had forgotten the details of the revisions promised and simply sent us the same bid, which we thought was very high. We did not proceed with having the work done by this contractor.

Tony was always on time, was extremely professional, and really took the time to understand our needs. We had some small and large ideas, but we fully acknowledged that we don't know what we don't know and we needed someone to help us. Tony was great. Very informative; we never felt rushed, and he had great ideas. His sketch was awesome! It really helped us understand what we liked and didn't like, which is precisely what we were looking for. We absolutely would have asked him to complete the job, but they are clearly so popular that they were booked out too far. We plan on using him for other jobs in the future.

I was very pleased Redwood Builders was able to offer a varied line of services for my needs from design to landscaping and even carpentry. Tony and Steve's team were able to hit key deadlines that allowed seamless sequencing of other work we needed to line up. The crew handled unexpected issues in a timely manner. You can tell how much the company really cares about plants and their clients when they come over on their day off to fertilize and water your newly transplanted fruit tree. Tony, in addition to being a very hard worker with a great crew, is extremely responsible and honest. After so many years, I feel I can always depend on him to do the job well. He and his crew are experienced and knowledgeable of irrigation systems, plants, landscaping. In addition to listening well and jointly problem solving, he will tell you if he's not sure about something. I have found his prices to be very competitive. He is punctual and, if for some reason he can't make the date we set, he will call to reschedule. My garden is comprised of different zones that require specific types of irrigation approaches/equipment. He designed the system and it has worked well for 17 years with very minimal maintenance . I would not consider changing to a different contractor and feel fortunate that I met him when he was just starting his business.

I hired Redwood Builders to redo our backyard that was in disarray. Anthony and his team did a wonderful job working with us to create a design that fit our needs and price point. His team was professional and punctual, which is something you can't say about other contractors. They were able to have our backyard cleared within a day. Our project was completed on time and in budget. I would highly recommend Redwood Builders for any outdoor landscaping project.

Tony and crew arrived on time and started work right away. They took out 2 large photinias first. The stump removal (I think) took much longer than they were expecting, but they got it done. Tony's design reused block from existing walls they were modifying to save us money. He did an excellent job filling in behind the wall, planting new shrubs and adding bark. The result looks great! My only quibble is that the bark wasn't quite as deep as specified and weeds are already growing through. We love our "new" side yard.

As much as we weeded the existing space, there will always be a remaining weed seeds below. No easy answer if you plan on a chemical free garden. Pull weeds and keep mulching. It was a very professional and first-rate job, completing it a day early. Tony and his crew were very polite, accomodating, and especially helpful to me - moving and respositioning heavy items, answering my questions, and setting up the hoses and sprinklers with instructions before they left.

“Your new yard is incredible, can I get his number?” “Very good, very classic. I hired him for my back yard.” “Your yard looks amazing! And it happened so fast!” "We hired your landscaper for our side yard - he was booked two months out." Tony and his crew were timely, responsive and clearly very talented. They started with a yard that had been slowly deteriorating over thirty years and completely transformed it, creating a Northwest landscape complete with dry creek beds and many native plants. Tony has a wonderful sense of space and style, working with us to design the landscape features and choose the plants that we liked best. Fully two months after the job was finished, and through the heat of the summer, we've had a 100% survival rate on both new and transplanted plants. As the neighbor comments above demonstrate, the yard looked fantastic upon completion of the landscaping project -- but it looks even better now. Tony didn't over plant and has the ability to see into the future so as the yard matures it will complement our house, and the neighborhood for years and years to come. Highly recommend Tony and Redwood Builders. On time and on budget.

Our front yard needed updating and Tony came up with a beautiful design. Tony listened to what we wanted and it turned out even better than we had imagined. He and his men were terrific! Tony and his team exceeded our

He had great knowledge of trees and shrubs that we already had and
brought many ideas of how to make our existing Japanese maples show up better,
and how to integrate a water feature. He helped us decide on a water
feature that would fit with our style, our backyard, be bird friendly, and be
low maintenance.
He made and met all commitments starting
with the first inquiry email. He was always there when he said he would
be there, described the work he would be doing, how long it would take, what
steps would happen next, when he would complete each step, what the costs would
be. Everything went exactly according to plan.
He and his team kept the work area
organized and tidy (given of course that this involved a lot of digging and
moving of material). He was incredibly respectful of cleaning up after
each day, and kept stored materials neatly stacked and out of the way as much

We had a few problems with timing but eventually met two times. First time we went around the yard and discussed possible solutions to my landscaping concerns. This was a 'Deal' and he was very professional and the landscape plan was well documented with drawings, so I could see what it might look like, and cost estimates. The costs were broken down so I could consider doing the landscaping in stages which I really appreciated. The cost was more than I had anticipated, but having never done this before I really didn't have a clue. I have not yet made a decision regarding the plan.
