Motorplex Maple Valley Auto & Heavy Truck Repair

First time using Motorplex. Overall very pleased. Would recommend.

My battery light came on as I was heading home from work, so I suspected that the alternator had failed. I managed to make it to the Motorplex shop where I was able to leave the vehicle for repair. I had been meaning to get the transmission serviced, so I took the opportunity to have the work done at the same time. The mechanic discovered that the steering ball joints were badly worn, so I had that work done as well. It took two days before they were able to begin working on the vehicle, but everything was performed to my satisfaction. They also recommended additional service in the future.

I had spend a few days last week dropping into different auto shops or oil change places to get a feel for the quality of the place and people. My Angie's list search did not show many reviews here in Maple Valley WA, so I decided to do some investigateion. I was concerned that some shops would not know how to work on my new Acura or may not know the Honda line (my other car is a 2003 Honda). I was not feeling comfortable with some of the other places I spoke with. I dropped into Motorplex and spoke with Bruce Larsen. I asked questions about the experience of his people, how complex of work do they do and how he dealt with service questions. We spent 20 minutes just talking about the process and I was really impressed. A few days later I brought in my Acura for a synthetic oil change and was impressed with the process, how they checked the vehicle over and identified the need for a air filter. Later in the week I called him sharing that I wondered if I needed an alignment due to some symptoms and after talking with me and looking at the vehicle review from the oil change, he actually recommended that I NOT get an alignment. I trust that Motorplex is an ethical company and will be using them in the future.
