Maple Tree Specialists

Everything was good except for the one problem and not being able to get that resolved.

They cut up all the wood and left it our neighbor s yard. No matter how many times we told them to come out and fix it they wouldn't call us back or even care to show up. I wrote a letter to the better business bureau for them as well. I advise no one to use this company. They ruined our neighbor s yard and cost us a lot of extra money. They were fast on responding to the first estimate, but not very good on responsivenness for the rest of the job.

Maple's crew arrived 2 1/2 hours later than the expected time, but then did their work with impressive speed, efficiency and teamwork. They were courteous and cleaned up the yard when finished. The largest of the trees was 6 feet from the back wall of the house with the deck built around it. The estimator told us there was no practical way to remove it, but the head of the work crew said it could be lifted over the house with a crane. The first crane operator decided his 32-ton crane couldn't do the job safely. A second company brought a 40-ton crane and the tree was successfully removed, but there was a week's delay in making these arrangements. There was minor damage to the deck from dropped branches, but Maple's repaired this before leaving.

The estimator who came out to make a bid on the job was very professional and thorough. He advised exactly what would happen and reassured any damage done to our neighbor's yard would be their responsibility. The tree was taken down and cut up but it was left in the neighbor's yard. Also, some of the neighbor's rockery was damaged when the crane was brought in. We called Maple's Tree Service and they never returned our call. The owner did contact our neighbors and said the damage would be fixed and the wood removed. They promised to come out a few days later but never showed and didn't call. Our neighbor called again and they promised to come out and again, never showed up. We called several times and finally reached someone in the office who said she had placed a work order and it was now "out of her hands". We gave up trying to get them out here and are correcting the problem ourselves. We had to pay up front for the service and will never use them again.

THESE FIR TREES WERE HUGELY TALL IMPINGING ON THE VIEW OF THE BAY AND CITY. THEY WERE TRIMMED CAREFULLY AND THE CREW STAYED UNTIL I WAS SATISFIED.

THE SERVICE SHOWED UP ON TIME AND DID THE WORK SPECIFICALLY AS REQUESTED. THE WORKMEN WERE POLITE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THERE WAS LITTLE OR NO DAMAGE TO THE SURROUNDING SHRUBS AND FENCE.
