The first projects went well. In November, he took our money and disappeared. He gave him many opportunities to return the money and./or to work off the debt, but he just took the money and ran. We are very mad and disaappointed with a person we had tried to support with various projects and sharing his name with our neighbors.

Lee had car troubles and then housing problems, then scheduling problems. I recieved from him 8 phone calls explaining "I'm going to be there tomorrow/ make this right/ do a good job etc... He never did and kept my $1000.00

Lee and his crew dug in quickly and completed the job on budget. There were several times we needed to discuss my vision and what was most economical. We were always able to arrive at the best compromise that added value to the remodel and allowed the job to advance quickly. I have no reservations on using Lee Smith again for changes and repairs.

Excellent from start to finish. They were clean, professional, conscientious, and hard-working. They worked around our schedule (we had to suspend work for a couple of days to accommodate a birthday party), and came in on time and within budget. Lee was exceptionally courteous and wanted in all ways to make sure that we were happy with the work. He and his team did a fantastic job for a terrific price, and were at all times pleasant, courteous, and considerate of me and my wife.

Lee came to look at my project and to give me an estimate. He said he was going to be busy with a kitchen remodel and then another big project. I told him I was in no hurry and that whenever he could fit me in to let me know. He finished his kitchen project a day early so he called to see if I wanted him to come the next day to do my project. Came when he said on a Friday and had the door in when I came home from work. He had to come on Saturday to finish the outside replacment of the siding and to give a second coat of mud to the walls. He came back on Sunday to finish the walls since his next big project had to start on Monday.. The door looks great and that pesky wall project I could not get to looks great too. Kept to the estimate even though he had to come back on Saturday and Sunday. Liked his work and I have other projects for him to do in the near future.

It wasn't an easy task because there wasn't a level grade to start with. A lot of improvising and re-cutting was needed. In the end the porch was level and sturdy. The project turned out just the way it was requested. An add-on to the job was to re-install the two front porch hand railings after the front porch was replaced as part of an earlier concrete renovation. The materials turned out to cost $240 for the porch and the hand railings cost an extra $100 to install. Special tools were needed to drill the holes in the cement porch and nails to fix the railings to the porch. In the end the project came in under budget and was completed in one day. I am very pleased with the way everything worked out and would recommend Sunshine Residential Renovation and Lee Smith for you next project.

The skylight well is now square and clean, which is great. The paintwork was also good, despite the challenge of painting a ceiling in a wallpapered room. He did leave some mud or paint spatter on the skylight that I haven't yet figured out a way to clean off. I think we both missed it because it was such a dark day.

Lee did just a fabulous job. He noticed details I hadn't noticed such as making sure the door hinges and cabinet pulls matched the new chrome light fixtures. He obviously really knows what he is doing and is current on style and design. He was extremely punctual and professional and worked all day w/out stop. His fees for service were exactly what I had anticipated and his estimate of time he would need (four days) was accurate. The bathroom looks fantastic! He is also a really nice guy!

Lee did an excellent job and allowed me to hire only 1 person to fix everything in the house and outside (plumbing, electrical, finish work, paint, install doors). After getting to know him over four days, he's done a lot of large scale remodels previously and has tons of experience. Lee is an exceptional value and has cheaper rates than other handymen I called. Plus, he is on time, and stayed late two nights to meet our appraisal deadline. I will be using Lee in the future, no question.

We had to have the repairs done as soon as possible. Lee was very good about fitting us in and letting us know when he would be there. He even worked weekends to complete the projects in time. The drywall patch is invisible. He had to reset & reseal the window to avoid future water problems and replace ship lap and siding. He explained what and why, and did a beautiful job. I am very pleased with his workmanship and cleanup. I'm working on my list of future projects.

Kitchen bay window (68" x 39") was rotting in lower corner and double pane glass had lost it's seal and was cloudy. Lee removed the old glass, replaced the rotting wood and reinstalled new energy efficient glass. The detail work required to replace the rotted wood and match the original trim and the rest of the window required a skilled craftsman and Lee made it look as though the window unit was all original. Lee's ability to replace the large glass window pane and not the entire window unit saved me over $1,500 from what the guys at another company and a home improvement store wanted to do.

Lee was eager to please and worked hard but I needed him to come back after leak continued to try other things and ultimately finish what was started. I had my house painter complete the sealing of the dormer window but ceiling still not patched and he never returned or followed up on the work ultimately. It was sometimes hard to get him to come over as he was too busy on other projects. With a leak it needs to be looked at when it is happening. I won't know if it still leaking till a big storm returns again (soon).

Half of the work was done very well. The other part was somewhat sloppy, and then he disappeared. We called several times, but he never came back. It was an unexplained disappearance with more work to be completed.
