these guys have very poor service, they promised and did not do it on time, poor quality of work, the silicone is not very nicely made in places. I do not recommend contacting this company.

The entire team at SMY was fantastic. From planning and design to the finished product the process was as smooth as I could hope for. They stayed in constant communication throughout the process and were professional. We added some tricky things during the process that they were able to smoothly integrate with little disruption to the overall job.

We mostly interacted with Eric who coordinated the work. He did an excellent job and was a very pleasant person, very knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. There was only 1 minor problem--diagnosing what caused a minor leak by the people doing the work. It did take some time for a correct solution to be arrived at. But overall, this was a very, very minor issue compared to how well working with Eric went, the quality of the products, and our satisfaction with the outcome.

Early on, we miscommunicated and the engineered hardwood arrived instead of hardwood, but Val the owner searched and found the right color hardwood for us in a very timely manner. He really cared that we got what we wanted. The employees were good workers. They were punctual, dependable, and professional. They had good attitudes.

The cabinets are gorgeous and fit perfectly. I had some finishing details to have completed on the cabinetry and the SMY cabinet installer was extremely professional and a perfectionist in getting finishing touches completed. Vlad, the salesman, is extremely courteous and goes out of his way to help. Just today,he came out to my house to give me a hand. A can opener had jammed the island drawer from opening. I stopped by the SMY office while doing some errands today and met with Vlad. Before scheduling a work order, he dropped everything to come to the house to assess the problem himself. He was here for about 1/2 hour and was able to dislodge the opener without harm to the cabinets. I had been trying for a couple of weeks to get the drawer to open! I was so pleased with his problem solving skills. Vlad is a very nice man to work with and I appreciate all he has done to make my kitchen remodel wonderful.

They were very reasonable to work with.  We purchased all cabinets (about 22), appliances, plumbing and lighting fixtures (except LED can lights, under cabinet lights and outlets) on our own  We did some of the work ourselves, such as demo the kitchen and also had parts contracted out to others, such as counter tops, refinishing hardwood floors, drywall repair and paint.  They worked with us to coordinate their schedule with ours and our other contractors.  Their people were friendly and helpful.  The cabinet installer was especially helpful coming up with least expensive ideas to solve problems with cabinet crown molding for  uneven ceilings and toe kick solutions for hiding gaps due to shims for leveling floor cabinets.  I was a little concerned about the cabinet doors not leveling/matching up during the installation but they adjusted them and got them all lined up nicely at the end.  We had a couple issues with the new breakers for the new June 2014 electrical code requirements tripping after the installation was completed but they were very prompt in sending out the electrician to check it out.  He first tried removing an appliance that he thought could be causing the problem but it re-ocurred about a month and a half later so he ended up replacing the breakers which must have been defective because it has been 2 months now without any further problems.  Our kitchen turned out beautifully and looks completely different than before.  We are very pleased with the work SMY did and happy we found them.

We are really, really happy with everything.  Great workmanship....great employees and subs.  Everyone is very respectful of your property...meticulous in their care and clean up.  Subs are so good...punctual, communicative, quality work.  Employees have been doing this for years...excellent craftsmen and so meticulous.  Project Manager, Vlad, is very polite, professional, and responsive. This was very scary for us...the biggest project we've done.  We did our due diligence...checked them and other bidders out...and felt that SMY provided the best balance of cost and quality.  We were not disappointed in the least.  They deserve every good rating they have received.  We have only one minor complaint....but it is a complaint that everyone I know who has done this kind of work has...the schedule is somewhat unpredictable.  You want to know exactly when and what time they'll be doing work but it is a moving target.  This can be frustrating...but it is endemic to the business.  I'd give them an A+ if they would have kept me informed at all times on what day/time people would be in to do work and had there been no delays. Aggravating at times...but I would not have traded that for lower price/lesser quality work.  You do get what you pay for...they are not the least expensive but the materials, workmanship, and professionalism are totally worth it.

We first met Vlad at the showroom and discussed what we wanted to do to update our kitchen and bathrooms. We found Vlad very easy to work with as he always responded to our questions and concerns very quickly. Our discussions continued over several months as we reviewed suggestions and bids from other companies. We finally decided that a key factor for us was having a single point of contact for all the work to be done and Vlad offered us that solution. The work was done over three days and we were pleased with the work that was done except for a few items. True to his word, Vlad refused to take his final payment until we were completely satisfied and sent crews back to take care of our concerns. We were able to pick the sinks and faucets we wanted along with different quartz counters for the island in the kitchen and the two bathrooms. Other companies weren't as flexible in offering the range of selection that we had with SMY. We are very happy with our renovated kitchen and bathrooms and would use SMY again.

My family and I bought a home in August 2012 and all the bathrooms need remodeling. We decided to undertake the children's bathroom first as it was the smallest and would serve perfectly as a and quot;testerand quot; room. We sought bids from 4 contractors and prices ranged from 6K to 15K. We stumbled upon SMY after finding a vanity we liked and SMY were the local vendor for that product. When visiting their showroom in Lynnwood, we found them to be friendly, knowledgeable, incredibly helpful and willing to take time to discuss our exact needs and wants.

When it came time for SMY to start work they communicated with me very effectively and managed expectations well. They worked as quickly and efficiently as they possible could without compromising quality or workmanship.
As you can tell, I am incredibly pleased with SMY. They did a wonderful job on my children's bathroom and I can't wait for them to start work on the main bathroom. I have done a few remodeling projects now and have not always had the same level of confidence, or success that I have had with SMY. I can't begin to tell you how comforting it is to work with a company that really does want to leave you with the best product that they possibly can.
