I can't say enough good things about Seattle Tree Service! I spoke with five tree removal companies and am so glad I chose Seattle Tree Service. I had two pines, over 100 feet tall, that needed to come down. Situated between a hedge, 2 houses, a rockery and a fence, Mike and his crew were incredible in bringing them down. From the first call to get an estimate until the job was complete Mike addressed all of my questions and concerns and he and his crew went above and beyond all expectations. On time, professional, took great care to not damage garden space and did a fantastic job cleaning up. We have more work to do here and Mike will be the only call I make when it's time to do it.

The crew was great to work with, they were able to complete the job in one day. The yard debris was completely picked up and they did a great job with all of our requests.

I came home from work to find a large portion of the tree had fallen in a windstorm and two parts were hanging over two neighboring properties.  I called and Mike came out within a couple of hours to evaluate.  He gave me a bid the following day of $1300-$1500 for which I agreed.  The crew came out a little late in the day and began work.  It got dark before they were half way through and continued by head lamp.  When finished, I got the bill for well over $1600 and was told they damaged my shed, but they would knock some money off for that.  This brought the sum back to what was originally quoted (over the phone and not in writing).  It wasn't until the following day, in the daylight that I saw the big hole in the side of my shed.  This is more than $150 worth of damage.  Not only that, they left piles of wood in my neighbor's yard and a bunch of wood in my back yard.  Mike implied that he would remove that wood, but his son told me that they never do.  For $1500, I thought I'd receive better service.  This is my fault because in my panic, I called the wrong company.  I've used another company before with a very similar name on multiple occasions which I really liked.  When I asked about where the man was that I was familiar with, I was told he doesn't work there anymore.  Well, since it was a different company, he NEVER worked there.  I was not happy about this deception.  I'll not hire them again and count this as a lesson to be more attentive.
Response from Seattle Tree Service
"Hello [Member Name Removed], We are sorry to hear that you are displeased. It is unfortunate that an entire month passed before you decided to mention anything about this. Upon speaking with you after the work was completed, you seemed very happy and satisfied with the job. We didn't hear anything from you after that and this review came as a surprise to everyone here at Seattle Tree Service. Our work for you on March 2 was done to the highest level of transparency and integrity. If there was any issue, it was due to miscommunication. We sincerely apologize if you felt misled or lied to, but let me assure you, this was not done intentionally. When there is a windstorm, like the one that happened on March1, we get very busy and are slammed for with calls. Mike and his crew came to you as quickly as they could AND WORKED BY HEADLAMP to get it done. Working into the night is not poor workmanship, it is dedication to a job and an excellent work ethic (we pay our crew overtime to work this hard in such difficult conditions). Mike gave you an approximate price quote of $1300-$1500 but the price was raised after you decided to have the entire tree removed which added on more work than originally discussed. All of our loyal customers know that we do not haul firewood unless it is for an additional price. We do our very best to prevent damage or accidents, but they do sometimes happen- especially when dealing with large pieces of heavy wood as was with your job. We did offer to repair the damaged shed ourselves (and we were prepared to) or to give you a discounted price. You chose to have the discount. As mentioned, we strive to do our best on every single job, no matter how big or how small. We pride ourselves in our work, and we strive to keep our customers happy and eager to have us come back. We try to treat our customers the way we would like to be treated. Managing the business this way has kept us in business for decades and, we hope, for decades to come."
