From my experience I conclude that Mr. Electric will charge you as much as they can get away with, so beware. They charged me almost $2,700 for about 7 man hours of work, minimal materials. They wired six recessed lights and 4 smoke detectors that were already in place, plus a light switch and replaced a service wire. The manager threw me a bone and lowered it to $2,374 after I complained. That's still $300 an hour for electrical work, even after I made it as easy as possible for them!
