Jason is awesome. He is punctual and incredibly responsive. I always knew when he would arrive. Great communication through out the whole job. Quality of work is top knotch and he really cares about how the job looks and would provide excellent solutions to a kitchen remodel in a 1926 craftsmen house where nothing is straight or level. The work arounds were the perfect solution as the kitchen turned out beautiful. Jasons subs (drywall and tile) are professional and provided quality work. Jason only hires subs he trusts and that do excellent work. Jason cares about the quality of every step of the process. We feel fortunate to have used KGC for our kitchen remodel and will use Jason for any other remodel project from now on. Highly Recommended!

Did a fantastic job overall.  Very competitive on pricing and came up with a great idea on how to run the duct work to be hidden at the most cost effective approach. Jason was easy to work with, arrived on time and produced a great finished product that my wife loves.  I will be using Jason again for sure on other projects.

Jason took over from a previous contractor who had failed at the difficult job.  Jason showed up on the job site and over the following 9 months solved several difficult construction and design problems left over from the previous contractor.  He brought his energy and wisdom to the job site and made my property beautifull.   Jason kept me informed during the entire job, suggested ways to save money, improve function, and make things more beautiful.  He has an impressive list of subcontractors who are affordable and capable.  Jason is an honest, capable, energetic, and creative guy who was referred to me by a friend.  My project was in "full panic mode" after firing the previous contractor.  Jason showed up like SEAL Team 6 and made the world right again.

All in all, I think it was good time spent in researching different vendors and contractors before deciding.
Jason of KGC was great.  The only negative was there were a couple minor issues that needed to be addressed after hewas paid and on to other jobs ... it took many calls and rescheduled appointments to get him here.  But, he took careof everthing that he said he would.,Everythig said, KGC did a great job, great price and I would definetly consder his service again.

They did not finish the job. They were supposed to finish the crown molding of the cabinet and they did not. They were supposed to do the lighting under the cabinet and they did not do that either. My wife had written a glorying report and she had called Angie’s list to take the report back. The cabinets were all good but they did not finish the job. It has already been 10 months late and they have still not finished the crown molding and we still do not have the lights under the cabinet. We have to get another contractor to get that done. It was over and we would not be hiring them to do anymore work for us. I would not give out a positive recommendation to anyone for the work they have done here.
Response from Krouse General Contracting
"Working with this customer was a good experience as you can see in there first review of the job. The issue came later when i needed to order one more piece of crown to finish the job. I ordered the crown that usually takes a week or two to get. During this time Michael called and left me a message that said he now wanted to remodel his bathroom. I did get the message but I was busy working on some other jobs and forgot to return his call and i am sorry for that. During the next few days i got a call from one of my subs who do my painting asking if they could get some help hanging some doors because they did not know how to. So i said sure where is the job. They told me it was the customer's house and told me that he called them to do the bathroom remodel. I was really upset at this point. Its not good practice to go past the Carpenter and hire his subs. So i called Michael that day just to see what was going on. I left a message apologizing for not calling and also said i was a little upset about what happened but i do understand because after all i forgot to call him back. He never called me back so i called again a few days later and again no call back. When i read the Report on Angie's List i felt really bad so i called again to let him know i still have the crown and would have no problem coming out and installing it. Once again no call back. The one thing i did wrong in this whole job was not calling him back for a couple days and i do feel bad about that. But he also went behind my back to hire my guys to do his job and he has never returned my call again. Micheal i still have your crown if you want me to install it just call me."

Jason is great and I can't recommend him highly enough.  I took a bunch of bids for my bathroom, and Jason was very competitive.  In fact, he was the lowest, and only one other bid was close.  I actually had bids for over $20,000 for this job, and that wasn't including the cost of materials!  But the price wasn't the only reason I went with Jason.  I also thought he seemed like such a nice guy, friendly and easy to deal with, and he struck me as someone who was very competent and did things the right way.  All that proved to be true.  If you work with Jason, you should know that he has a very informal manner, which I really like a lot, but might not suit everyone.

Jason provides no design services.  I had to make all the design decisions and purchase everything that I wanted for the bathroom on my own, which I wanted to do anyway.   I would add, though, that Jason does have a good aesthetic sense and he is great to bounce ideas off of, and I valued his opinion.  He is also extremely flexible, never gave me a hard time when I changed my mind about something at the last minute (I only did that once or twice, I think), and did an excellent job on everything.

Everyone that Jason works with is great -- all of them really nice guys who are very professional and competent.  I paid separately for the tile installer and the electrician (I had fairly extensive electrical work done).  The money I paid Jason included all his work and the plumbers who did most of the work on the shower.   When I think of what he charged and the amount of work I received for that, I wish I could give him an A+ grade on here.

The quality of the work Jason did is great.   I really love my bathroom.  Everything was done just right.  Jason says he is a perfectionist, and it's true.   I am very glad I chose Jason to do the work and I would happily recommend him to anyone.

Krouse General Contracting took care of our needs for kitchen remodeling from demolition to project's end of texturing and repainting.  The project went smoothly throughout with new cabinetry  and appliance installation, new ceiling, walls, texturing and painting.  Walls were taken out and door frames built, and the finish carpentry is outstanding.  Jason was always available to answer questions along with his brother, our cabinet maker.  They were ready to work when they arrived and cleaned up after themselves each day. Tthe project surpassed our expectations both in savings and quality.  When the kitchen was complete we had the team move into remodeling our living and dining rooms.  We intend to bring them back for further work in the near future.  We highly recommend this company.

I m an architect on a couple of projects KGC has built. I have found Jason to be very good to work with, including taking care to read the drawings and calling when he has questions, rather than assuming things, so he can avoid the usual results that assuming produces. He has good attention to detail and his pricing is reasonable for the level of quality he delivers.

They actually have done work for me on a few of my different rental properties some of the work I had done was refinished my hardwood floors, refaced my kitchen cabinets, new carpet, paint, framing, drywall, plumbing basically the whole nine yards. So when it came to building a home I had him do that as well.
