CULTUS BAY BUILDERS

It was supposed to be a one day job. It was a nightmare. He had a friend come by to start taking the laundry room apart (taking the toilet, vanity and washer/dryer out, as well as taking up the old vinyl flooring that was currently there). When Tristan arrived on the job, 5 hours later, he did not have the agreed upon items (flooring and built vanity top) with him. Arranged to finish the job the next day. Again, he was late, and still did not have the vanity top with him. Said he would have to make it on site instead, except he had the wrong laminate, not the one I had previously picked out. He and Eddie put down the plywood, vinyl flooring and installed the new toilet. Said he could have the correct vanity top made by Wed, so we arranged to have him finish up the job on following Sat. After they left, I looked at the vinyl and it looked terrible. The plywood was cut short by the doorway so it had no substance under it for about 1/2 inch by the door trim, you could see the seam btwn the 2 sheets of plywood, the nail heads were starting to pop up, and there were "bubbles" under the vinyl. Oh, and the toilet was not set straight either. Called Tristan and he said he would send someone to fix the gap by the door trim. The "Fix" did not work, made it worse. Tristan was to come out on Sat, had to reschedule to Sunday. I decided to cut my losses and hire someone else to finish the job. I am not sure if he will be charging me for materials or labor.
