City Builders Inc is a full service residential Design/Build custom home and remodeling contractor serving the Seattle metropolitan area of King and Snohomish County communities since 1988. City Builders was one of the first members when in 2002 the Master Builders Association launched BuiltGreen in the Northwest and we started building Built Green homes and incorporating Built Green practices in Home Remodeling projects since then. We are committed to helping our clients make their project as green as they want it to be. Do not hire this company. I paid a deposit for my project in May 2017. It was supposed to start in August 2017. I kept getting pushed back for my start time and then had no communication back from the company for 6 weeks. When they finally got back to me I was told the company was folding and I would not be getting my deposit back. So I paid them money and got nothing in return. Sounds like fraud!

We found City Builders at the Home Show.  We interviewed several companies and Gordy was the only one who was extremely knowlegeable in his field.  Other companies on many ocassions couldn't answer our questions. We signed the contracts and the work began immediately and the project was on schedule.

The job turned out beautifully. I would say that you would be surprised at how beautiful the things come out. We interviewed five different companies and this was the only company who said lets not just redo the kitchen, let's make it better.  I asked them how it can be made better and they told me they would put draws and I thought that was cool.  The refrigerator is 8 inches from the wall and I couldn't open the door and they told me that I could get over it by bringing it 4 inches from the wall and I won't have a problem. They had to cut the cabinets and the granite and they still didn't have a problem doing that.  It was phenomenal.  They are going to redo our bathroom. They are fun people and they are professional.

We interviewed a lot of contractors and it took quite awhile to select one.  When we met Gordy, the owner, we could tell he's a very confident guy.  He is very straight forward as to what he's doing, how much it will cost and how much he will make. We could sit down with him and talk about what we wanted. He would listen, give us a lot of other suggestions and then we'd work out the changes with no problems. We are very pleased with the workmanship and the whole process with City Builders. From Greg, the head carpenter, to the other crew members/sub-contractors and Liz in the office, we had a very pleasant experience. We had no reservations about letting them work all day in our home without us being there, we completely trusted them.
