The estimator was professional and thorough. The paint job was done to perfection and clean up/completion was A+ work. Great experience.

ASBESTOS! They covered my entire home in asbestos. I hired them to remove popcorn ceiling. Contract was for 3.5 days of work. It took them 6. They damaged our HVAC system because they didn't cover the vents and intake. They told us we could return home, it was completely covered in a thick coating of dust. My floors, carpet, furniture, everything! We immediately called and sent emails to the manager, owner and the corporate office. This was on a Sunday. They scheduled a walk through on Wednesday 4 days later. I started cleaning because we all suffer from allergies and my husband is asthmatic and we can't live in that environment. Little did I know, all that vacuuming and cleaning was making the situation worse by disturbing the asbestos fibers. When Carlos, Rick and Dan came to inspect our house on Wednesday both RIck and Carlos tried to defend the horrible work and damage to the walls. We heard everything from its the paint on your walls to we aren't cleaner's, even though our contact states they will clean up after themselves and satisfaction guaranteed. I kicked Carlos and Rick out of our home. Luckily I had already received cleaning bids. They all quoted between 200-400 dollars an hour and wanted a copy of the asbestos testing performed by certapro. When I told Dan this he admitted to not having the testing done. WHAT!!! We demanded he take a sample from the debris left behind and have it tested. We didn't hear anything from him after that. I reached out to the corporate office and heard nothing. We decided to pack the kids up and leave. The next morning 5 days after the project ended, I contacted corporate again wanting to know what was going on and when would we know if our house was contaminated. I was rudely referred to the independently owned franchisee and Dan, with no regard for my families safety. My husband received a call from Jeff, the owner, finally. Jeff wanted to assure us that he has never had a home test positive for asbestos. So he knew he was supposed to have it tested! He also never asked where we were staying or if we were ok. 12pm we received the call from Dan. Our home tested positive for asbestos. My family. My children. My animals all exposed to asbestos. My children played and rolled around on that floor. We slept in beds and they hugged their stuffed animals that were coated in poison. We've now had to call in an asbestos abatement team that has had to dispose of all porous objects. Furniture, carpets, beds, those beloved teddy bears, baby blankets and my wedding dress. The abatement crew had to cause more damage in order to rid the house of this toxin. The only phone call we received regarding this from Certapro was from Dan saying that he didn't believe they were responsible for replacing these things. If you love your family, animals, home and value your health stay away from this company. They didn't even have their painter wearing a mask or protective gear. They don't care about their employees and they definitely don't care about you.

This is for the CertaPro painters of Lynnwood, WA. I can't understand these reviews! After our discussion with Jeff, the owner, who had a very impressive presentation, we had no trouble deciding they were the people to paint our house. His "crew" was a husband and wife who did not speak English! Here are the issues we had: 1. Terrible quality. The paint is bubbling already...in multiple locations they painted! We had the work done in August of this year. 2. Sloppy. It looks like my 10 year old son did this job. Honestly, I was so surprised that professional painters were involved in this work. I was embarrassed that my neighbors thought I did this in my spare time. I would be embarrassed if it was my work. So disappointing. 3. They removed the fixtures and never replaced them. More of a safety concern, they did not switch off the circuit breaker before pulling them off the wall. 4. Jeff TOLD me that a good source to make a decision on color was the Sherman Williams "color snap" web tool, which we used. We chose a blu-ish color that turned out to be purple in real life. It looked awful. I sent him a picture of the color snap color (a screen shot of the actual color), and our house in purple. He said the problem was ours! He then, in a very condescending tone, told us that nobody makes a color decision without painting section of the house with a test color first. This is after he told to rely on the web page. He NEVER suggested paining a test area. OF COURSE that's what to do, but he told us it wasn't necessary! Ugh! Then charged us $400 dollars to change to the actual color we wanted. 5. After many email exchanges with no answers, I finally gave up. Now I have to find a skilled house painter to fix their mistakes. I am so sorry we used this company. Honestly, find someone else to paint your house. I called the central CertaPro office, they defended their painter, also very condescending and awful. I felt like we were scammed, honestly.

The estimater came and very professionally measured everything and gave me a quote. The work was delayed in starting due to the rainy weather, but when they came, the painters were very hard workers and did a very good job.

Good. No reasons for complaints. They did in 3 days what would have taken me all summer.

Certa Pro was very responsive and their advice on paints was terrific. Carlos was a great representative of the company and stayed in touch. They are not inexpensive, but price paid was in line with other estimates received. When all was done, we had a freshly updated painted interior that looked professionally done. Very pleased with the results and strongly recommend them.

They gave me an estimate and it was an accurate estimate. They came out when they said they were going to. They kept me informed if they were going to come out later that day, so I knew what was going on. I think price, customer service and quality is what I liked the most.

They cleaned up well and painted well. The house was empty. I just gave them a key.

The quality of work was good, and we are happy with the result. We liked having the color consultant, and it turned out like we expected (unlike when we painted it ourselves years ago). However, one of the main reasons we chose CertaPro was the expectation of good communication, but it was poor. We were told we would have one week of notice before power washing which was important so I give sufficient notice to another company to have the gutters removed. However, we were only given 2 days notice, and had to rush the gutter removal. We were told that workers would review the woodwork on the chimney that we needed replaced, but we never heard an assessment, so we had to email asking about it. We also needed work pulling the garage boards together, and that never got in to the bid. We didn't receive any communication for a week, so we emailed them, and received a text that night. Then they came and did some work on some days when it was clear. They did a great job repairing the wood around the chimney. Then we were told by the crew to expect them the next day, but they never came. We texted the foreman and he never responded. Then the crew showed up unexpectedly on another day, and I had to re-arrange my schedule to work from home so they could repair the garage door before they painted it, and remove the door to paint it. The painting crew had vans with another company name that we did not expect, and we didn't notice anything that said CertaPro, so it was obvious we were working with a sub-contractor, and it felt like a different company. It was not made clear to us that that painters would not be employees of CertaPro, and it is misleading to say CertaPro has been in business for so many years when they are not the one actually doing the painting. When we needed a touch up a few days later, it was nice that they bought a gallon of paint and fixed the spot by the garage light we replaced. We are happy with the colors and quality, but we would not choose CertaPro again.

Started off great but when it came to the actual painting it went downhill fast. Had the owner Jeff out several times working issues, (major amount of overspray on the roof (no dropcloths used and witnessed the painter spraying at bees while on the roof, broken shrubs, missed spots, unprimed bare wood (which Jeff said they use a clear primer?) inconsistent paint scheme (some trim or flood lights painted and some not), new paint pealing on front door, etc, etc.). Selected them from reviews at the time from Angie's list but as the saying goes in construction "you're only as good as your sub contractors". Apparently they weren't the same that resulted in great reveiws. Speaking with the several that were out here to fix the problems, they were reluctant to do anything for me since it wasnt their contract and eluded to not getting paid. Had to wait until the original painting company could correct the problems. Like others have mentioned only the lead "Sam" spoke English and there was a lot of difficulties communicating with the others. Very fast at the second coat which was supposed to be back brushed/rolled. Never saw that happen. To fix the over spray Jeff had someone come out and fog in a matching color to the roof. All good but when I drove another street I can see my house from today, I noticed that it's fading and turning white so now I have even a bigger paint patch on my roof! Seeing that is what prompted me to write this years later after the work performed. Definitely use this contractor at your discretion. Won't ever be on my list again!

The process was almost seamless. The crew of Hector and his team were very punctual and professional. Arriving on time every morning and ready to go. Also were very good as a "clean as you go" team". Clean up after the job was also very good. Along the way they answered all of my questions. I would definitely hire them again.

We were first pushed out about 4 months. Accepted that thinking we would end up with a professional paint job once work began. Sarah was helpful, unfortunately, that was the only plus to dealing with this company. Paint Supervisor lacked communication skills to say the least. He came on Friday, walked through the house with his two other painters. I asked where they intended to begin, as my preference was one at a time at minimum. He said he would let me know. We were holed up in our office to stay out of their way. Once we left the office it was like a bad under siege video. Long story short we packed up our new kitten, and headed off to a motel. There was not way we could stay as every room was disassembled to say the least. We left house keys with who we thought was the supervisor, who we later found out, the supervisor had taken the weekend off and left the 2 other painters - who's communication skills were worse, and completely unacceptable. We came back after 2 days in a motel to a very shabby job at best. Then, the painters left a troth of paint covered with plastic behind a sofa that was pulled away from the wall and did not mention to us. Our kitten was exploring, stepped on the plastic and fell in to the paint. Scared, she jumped out covered in white paint and preceded to run through the house on our new carpet that was installed less than 2 weeks earlier. After several phone calls, our painter "supervisor" came over to follow up and assure us this would never happen again. He would be on the job to ensure all work was done correctly. After paying the majority of the bill, we had several issues that needed to be corrected. We told Sarah that we did not want the other painters back in our house and that the supervisor was to complete all remaining work and correct all issues. When the supervisor did come, he brought one of the workers with him. When asked why he brought him, the supervisor said he had to learn. We did not hire CertaPro to do on the job training. After a few comments to the supervisor on areas we were not pleased with and his excuses. we had enough and asked them to leave. We then spoke to Sarah once again and told her we had enough and did not want them back taking more of our time. The anxiety they caused was just too much. She told us the owner would be in contact with us. He never was.

Painters were quick, efficient, courteous and job seems to be well done. Clean up was thorough. Were helpful in moving large items before painting.

Second time I've used this CertaPro company. Almost 2 years ago, they painted the exterior of my house while I was on the East coast visiting family. Truly the most trustworthy and professional folks I could have hired. I literally contracted and went on vacation. Oh, by the way, they did a GREAT job. So, I called them back when it was time to paint the interior. Great experience. If you need painting done, you will NOT be disappointed.

The experience went really well overall. The painters did everything that they said they would do, cleaned up afterwards, and did a great job. They were reasonably-priced and used good-quality paint. We’re really happy with the outcome and have recommended them.

Everyone at CertaPro was professional, helpful, and kind. For us this was a huge project that we had planned for a long time. We didn't realize all the decisions we needed to make for this project, but CertaPro was happy to help us throughout the process. The paint distributor mixed the wrong color for the house and we noticed after the house was painted. CertaPro looked into the error right away and fixed it the next day. I'm sure this set their schedule back, but they continued to give our house their full attention until it was done to our satisfaction. We have been very happy with our freshly painted house!

Just signed on to Angie's List and had to check out CertaPro Painters of Lynnwood. We had used them the summer of 2013 for a exterior paint job and they did a wonderful job. Had a paint color mix up (their fault), they took responsibility fixed it and we actually ended up with a additional coat of paint on 75% of the house. When we decided to do the interior the next year we called Jeff back. This was not the same company we had the year before. Sam was our "head" painter with a couple of non-English speaking helpers. Sam spent most of his time out in his truck on his cell phone smoking. The other two did most of the work. We pointed out the holes that needed to be caulked (per contract), which they didn't do. We really had to follow them around. Sam was yea, yea well get it done. Very condescending. NOT! Paint went every wear. Window casings, floor molding, back of TV, top of ceiling fan. Part of the contract that JEFF presented to us contained language that said the molding along the floor would be caulked and painted. They did none of that and it looked horrible. Gaps between the wall and molding. We called Jeff on that right away. He wasn't going to honor that. They didn't paint the molding so it didn't count so to speak. It didn't say they had to paint the molding. I begged Jeff to come and look at the lousy job. He never would come out. After multiple yelling phone conversations about HIS contract language he finally said he would, are you ready, "get back to what his company is all about which is great customer service" and take care of our multiple complaints. We said great but we don't want to see Sam any wear near our house. But her had already pain Sam for the job so he was the one who had to finish it. At this point just get it done and get out was our feeling. So Sam and his crew show up. As they're scrapping all the paint off, where is shouldn't have been, he is refusing to do the caulk the molding. I get unglued and say to finish the job Jeff had told us he would honor and he said Sam was aware of. I also told him he was not to leave that day until the work was complete. No coming back. I have to get out of the mess and go outside to get some yard work done. I begin to mow and as I make my 2nd or 3rd pass around the yard I can see our side driveway and Sam's truck is gone. He and his crew have walked off the job. This nightmare really had no ending. This is a long story, I know, but you need all the info on this company. It ended up with a new group next day, Jeff admitting Sam was not a "painter" but a contractor who built houses in California. I think just hired for summer work. Between the exterior and interior paint job we had paid Jeff's company almost $10,000. If that didn't garner any "repeat" customer treatment you better watch out.

Our experience was awesome! They walked us through each step of the process with great communication and guidance. We found them to be very punctual, very thorough in their work and responsive to any requests. Shortly after having the exterior of our home painted we also had work done on our roof. We called CertaPro to have a couple boards repainted and they came out the next day to take care of it for us! They kept their commitments and were respectful of our home and time. We would definitely recommend them to our friends and family members. Jeff, the owner, went above and beyond our expectations to provide a wonderful overall experience.

They did a great job in a timely manner in 2012. In 2015 I noticed the paint coming off of the roof. Since there is only a 2 year warranty for the paint I asked Certa Pro to provide me with an estimate for the small portion of the roof. Certa Pro did not follow up in a timely manner. I really feel that they should respond to previous customers much sooner. I was not happy when I received the estimate that was only about $20.00 less than doing the whole roof. For this reason I've decided not to use them.
