Amen has provided work for me at my rental property in the past and I had scheduled him to replace the kitchen faucet at my home. Upon arriving and reviewing the existing kitchen faucet, Amen determined there was simply a loose connection I had overlooked. Therefore, he saved me the cost of replacing the faucet and the additional labor to install a new one. Amen has always been very fair with price and has always conducted his service in an honest professional manner.

First of all, we contacted Amen because he's been my parents' trusted plumber for about the last 20 years. We just bought a house, and needed the above work done. Amen was great to work with, very focused and professional. He's returned all our calls within about 24 hours. He did the work we wanted, and did good quality work.
We are first time homeowners and so after going through that first round of fixes (plumbing and otherwise), we were a bit overwhelmed about how much money we'd spent, so we didn't have him do the final fix - which was to replace a pipe to the bathtub which wasn't getting hot water. I first tried to start doing it myself, then, got overwhelmed and stopped. I then wanted to get another estimate and a second opinion about the source of the problem. I had another plumber come out, and it was a terrible experience, with him trying to sell me on a bathroom remodel that we weren't asking for and didn't need, and who was unwilling to give us a fixed-price on their work. To make a long story short, we're calling Amen back at this time to come do the work.
I don't believe he's priced significantly higher or lower than an average plumber, but we've only been homeowners for a few months, so we don't know what to compare it to (it seems high to us, but so does everything else involved in our house).
Overall, Amen is honest and trustworthy. He does good work, and has always stuck to his commitments - both in price, and when he's planning on showing up. He even followed through on doing the water heater even through it was when we were having that crazy snowstorm in January! We were very impressed!

All in all, it went very well. My reason for grading it a B rather than A was there was a few details which were missed however they nailed the big stuff.

I was there when the work was done and found Amen to be professional and on time. He replaced an 8' section of 1 1/2" ABS pipe for the kitchen drain line under the house. He also installed the new p-trap and vent mentioned above. His estimate came in at about what I figured it would be for this type of job. He worked efficiently and I'd hire him again.

I CONTACTED A NUMBER OF PEOPLE - HE WAS THE ONE WHO PROMPTLY RETURNED CALLS, AND WAS PATIENT ANSWERING ALL QUESTIONS. BOTH PRICES WERE LESS THEN QUOTED ELSEWHERE. I WON'T BOTHER GOING ELSEWHERE FOR INFORMATION OR BIDS AFTER THESE EXPERIENCES.
