It went well! We plan to use them next time our vacuum cleaner needs maintenance.

Rick is wonderful.  I am in the cleaning business and I can fix a lot of my own vacuums but when It's too complicated I take it to Rick.  He has always done a great job of fixing my vacuums at a reasonable price. I also like the vacuums that he sells in his shop.  He won't sell you a piece of junk or overcharge for fixing a vacuum. Rick has integrity. He is honest and reliable. I highly recommend him.

He fixed my vacuum within 15 minutes so I didnt have to leave it. The service was good. I appreciated him letting me stay until it was finished. He gave me a free bag of carpet refreshers as a gift.

my Hoover self-propelled bagged vacuum lost it's self propelled ability. I took it in he was helpful in his diagnosis, and would have fixed it on the spot, but needed to get the part. I think it was ready the next day.  Maybe the following.  But was as promised.  Price was very reasonable.

He got it unclogged and didn't charge me anything.  He didn't feel it needed to be cleaned and saved me quite a bit of money.

I had purchased a brand new Hoover carpet cleaner on-line.  During only the 2nd use, a part broke.  I contacted  Hoover because it was still under warranty, but they made me pay for a replacement part instead of honoring warranty.  When the part arrived it still didn't work.  I didn't want to go through the hassle of shipping the machine back and hoped there might be a simple/fairly inexpensive fix.  I went to Alderwood Vacuum.  The owner immediately knew the problem and fixed it on the spot!  No charge!!   I bought some cleaning solution from him, and he threw in ("free for new customers") carpet deodorizer.  
In addition to great service, I really got an education about carpet cleaners and vacuum cleaners.  This guy is incredibly knowledgeable.  He showed me how to care for my carpet cleaner/cautioned me regarding handling and showed me how to rewrap the tools/cord (which was confusing from the directions I received when I purchased it).  I wish I had purchased my most recent vacuum from him!!  I will definitely go there for my next one!  He is fair, competent, knowledgeable, and efficient!  This is the real deal.  I would recommend him to anyone interested in purchase or repair of vacuums and/or carpet cleaners.  He even has one carpet cleaner for rent.

I was very pleased with my experience. The salesman was able to diagnose the problem on the spot, identify it as something they could fix and gave me an estimate and completion date. The work was completed ahead of time, they actually fixed it in 24 hours. The cost of the repair was very reasonable. My machine works great now.

The canister vacuum would work fine in "bare floor" mode but when "carpet" was selected, the option would cut in and out, as if the switch was broken or a wire was disconnected. After my husband attempted to repair the vacuum, which caused further issues, he took it to Alderwood Vacuum. He dropped it off on 11/25 and it was ready for pick-up the afternoon of 11/28. The repairs were perfect! The vacuum looks and works like a new one.

He was very reasonably priced. The professionalism was good. He was really knowlegable about vacuum cleaners. They had it finished when they said they would.
