This was a very complex renovation as we are located on the waterfront and are subject to heavy wind loads, driving rain, and salt corrosion. Although we received several quotes from other contractors we agreed that Sexton Construction would work on a cost plus basis. The project started on-time and on the day demo began my spouse made several MAJOR modifications to the plans which required a substantial amount of work be added to the project. Mark was patient, understanding and happy to accommodate our requests and as the contract was cost plus he never once suggested that there would be any additional costs. All thru construction he was professional, organized, provided excellent communication, and was always committed to providing the highest construction standards. Mark never cut corners, kept a clean job site and demonstrated both pride and professionalism. Before dry walling began my spouse and I were challenged in identifying which home automation system to install. This caused a one month delay in construction. Mark again demonstrated his patience with us and had other work lined up as construction ground to a halt. A month later we were ready to begin again. Mark gave us a date he could restart and met his commitment. The finishing has been up to expectations and overall we are extremely satisfied with the work that has been done. As for the budget, we had received several quotes from other companies and Mark's price came within 10% of the lowest bid. This was a very small price to pay given the excellent quality of workmanship, knowledge, honesty, and commitment to us and our project.
