One thing that became clear right away was that Luis has a problem keeping appointments and promises. He'll make promises on work and timetables and will not follow through. You end up calling the guy to check what's going on and if he picks up he'll make a new promise and not follow through. For us the entire process fell apart when our landlord wanted an invoice for the yard work done. Luis was informed of this ahead of time and this was not a problem. He would have the invoice to us at the end of the first day when the major work was completed. This never happened. This guy operates only in cash as well which should have been a red flag. We were also hiring Luis to fix an issue with our sprinkler system and this work was never started. Luis never even showed up on the day he had promised to come by and do the work. I had taken time off work so I could show him what was wrong and work with him to get the sprinkler system fixed and the entire day was a waste. Again I think this goes along with the invoice since he was supposed to bring this at the same time. Most of my phone calls went to voicemail when calling Luis so I resorted to texting him from time to time. Promises were again made to email the invoice directly to my landlord. My landlord would contact me stating an invoice had not been received and I would follow up with Luis who was adamant he had sent the invoice. Finally I asked him to send it to me instead and again it never showed up. This went on for days. Eventually he promised to drop off the invoice and it was not very surprising when this didn't happen either. Two weeks passed since the initial work was done and his crew was supposed to show up that Friday to maintain the yard. We had guests coming in from out of town and we were looking forward to a sharp yard. We had not mowed the lawn as Partner's Landscaping would handle all that. They never showed up. By 5:30PM I tried calling Luis but he didn't pick up. Text messages went unanswered as well. I tried reaching him a few times on Saturday as well before finally getting ahold of him Sunday afternoon. Luis was hostile on the phone talking about nobody telling him what to do. At this point the sprinkler system work has not been completed, bi-weekly maintenance work has not been completed and we still do not have an invoice for the initial, big clean up work. Since all I've been doing is following up with him on promises he made I'm a little surprised at the tone on the phone. He agrees that we should get the invoice and tells us we are done doing business. I'm relieved as I do not want to work with him any further, especially after the outburst on the phone. I will never work with Partner's Landscaping again. This is the most inconsistent, unreliable and unprofessional company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I would highly recommend steering clear of this company if you need yard work done. There are much better companies on Angie's List. We ended up signing up for Angie's List so we could write this review and find a new landscaper. We chose another landscaping service from the many glowing reviews on the site and not only did they do excellent work, they were cheaper than Partner's Landscaping and provide accurate invoices! A very basic invoice did show up almost a month after the work was completed with no company logo or breakdown of the work completed. There were specific costs associated with both the labor and beauty bark that was not called out on the invoice but thankfully Luis did send this to me so I could make good with my landlord. Avoid at all costs!
Description of Work: We hired Partner's Landscaping to do an initial cleanup of the entire property and they would then return every 2 weeks to maintain the work they had done. A team of 3 workers spent the entire day at our property and they did an overall nice job cleaning up the overgrown trees and plants and made the property look nice and sharp. We were very happy with the work done the first day.

Description of Work: schedule an appointment for an estimate. Luis never showed and did not call to cancel or reschedule. First impressions are not very good.
Luis and his crew did an excellent job at making sure that the two stumps were removed without incident - required a large excavator. Then they used a small excavator to dig the narrow yet deep trench to uncover the failed pipe. They knew what was required in terms of a drain rock/gravel base and cover around the new pipe so that the city inspector would be pleased on his first trip. He passed the work the first time, allowing Partners to cover the trench and compact right away - or the tenant would not be able to get their car back in the driveway. We had used Luis' team at Partners before for drainage and landscaping projects. We have always received a fair price, fast service and quality results. We will continue to use his services whenever the need arises.
Description of Work: Excavating for sewer line repairs. The site had two massive tree stumps in the way, which had to be removed without damaging the yard/driveway.
