I called Pacific Air Systems and made an appointment. Chad came to my home and showed up on time. He was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. He explained what process was going to be. He took time and pride on cleaning the furnace. He told me what the problem was and explained the charges for repair before he did the work.

I have used Pacific Air Systems about 17 years for HVAC Services.  They come to our home every 6 months for maintenance.  I have a contract with them and they come out and clean everything, check the unit and repair anything that needs taken care of.  This is an outstanding company.  They do very good work, I have never had a problem with them.

We got the name of Ben?s Appliance for furnace repair from Angie?s list, but they said they don?t do furnace repair.  Ben?s suggested Pacific, and since Pacific had a lot of good reviews on Angie?s, we used them.  

For the immediate repair, the serviceman, Chuck, came earlier than expected, figured it out quickly ? it was just a clogged filter.  He was nice, helpful. The repair was $79.  We got a 2 year maintenance plan at that time.  

The maintenance check was helpful, Greg showed me how to clean the filters, showed me other parts of concern (a hose that was disintegrating).  This was the first of 2 years ? it cost $254, and includes 2 annual maintenance checks and 24-hour repair service for 2 years.  It lowered the fee on the repair visit (by 15% I think).  

When they talked about the duct cleaning (the first technician), he said it wouldn?t leave much mess.  There was mess around each vent, especially the kitchen, so be prepared for that.  We have two little dogs that they met when they came in.  They opened the gate and the sliding glass door to bring the equipment in, but didn?t alert us so we could keep the dogs away.  This cost $300.  

All of the visits were prompt, they all wore booties to keep dirt from the house.  The first two visits the technicians were helpful and gave a lot of information without being pushy.  In the first visit he talked about the clicking/zapping sound coming from the filter as being a potential electrical problem, but the other 2 techs said it was larger dust particles being zapped in the electronic filter.

He was very professional and quick. He cleaned the furnace, examined the thermostat and asked if we had a carbonmonoxide detector. Very thorough.

Awesome service !!!  Well worth the slightly extra $.

    I had called several different companies and was most impressed with the friendliness and informative manner of the receptionist. We scheduled a date and they even put me on a wait list for an earlier time.   The men arrived exactly at the scheduled time, wore protective shoe coverings upon entering my home, were courteous and explained the procedure as they were setting up. I was at first concerned about the price but felt it was well worth it after seeing the professionalism and attention to detail that was exhibited at my home.  They cleaned 15 air ducts and my dryer vent ( that was listed as an extra by other companies).  I will definitely have them again.

I ahve been using this company for many years and have always been pleased with both the professionalist of employees, and quality.  I mainly used them for annual maintenance on my furnace, which usually took them at least an hour, closer to 1.5 hours to complete.  On my last service in jan 2011, the tech arrived on time, and was at my home for approximately 20-25 mins.  He then told me he was all done, had checked off all the check boxes on the task sheet and left.  The more I thought about it, the more i realized there was no way he could have completed everything in that time, especially since I know he did not go upstairs at all to check the ducts (which they usually do).  I called the company which also agreed that was not enough time to complete everything and promised to send out another technician, which they did.  The 2nd technician I was sent was absolutely wonderful.  he checked my furnace, and told me that indeed the first tech did not clean my furnace at all.  He also informed me that I had a cracked heat exchanger, and needed a new furnace because that would cause CO gas to leak into my house through the vents if the cracks got bigger. I was grateful for the information, but upset that because the first tech did not take his job seriously enough, my life/health could have been severely affected had I not called the company back to complain.  I got a furnace estimate from them, but ended up going with another company.  I will say that I am not saying that this company is bad, it is not.  I had years of happy service from them, and the last tech i worked with who caught the cracked heat exchanger was absolutely wonderful and probably the most professional one i've ever had with the company.  However, I will not use them again.  One lazy employee, and 1 experience that could have potentially endangered my life, has caused me to move to another company.  The company was very professional and receptive to my complaint and did say that employee will be handled.  I don't know if he still works there, I certainly hope not. 

They were highly efficient. Every time they arrived at my house they were early. Their customer service was superb. Their staff was very professional. They were very concerned about keeping my house clean and not interfer with my daily life. The thing I like about them is that if you have a problem they guarantee that they would be out at your house that day. My heater had just quit and I had no heat. I talked to the guy and I picked up the system that I wanted and I inquired when I would have it installed and he said that he would be here at 8 AM the next day morning and then they brought me space heaters to keep my house warm. I got some estimates previously but I think theirs is the going rate. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Will Davis gave detailed info on the system to be installed, was always punctual, polite and responsive to my questions. The service guys were the same.

They were very helpful, nice and prompt. Their estimate was higher than the one we went with.

I have stayed with them all of these years because of their service level. I use their value plan, which saves me quite a bit when I need major things replaced. They have taken very good care of my system that is about 14 years old.

I was very happy with them and only have good things to say about the company. They wore booties in the house to keep the floor clean. All the people were very friendly, polite in person and over the phone and considerate.

Their technicians are always very polite and informed. They answer questions for us. They are well trained nice people that come out. I think the heat pump system is very good. I would encourage anybody who needs to get a new furnace to get a heat pump.

The air conditioner is working better than it has ever worked because it was not wired right when it was first put in, but they fixed it. They came when they said they would, and they were very professional. We thought they did a great job. The prices were very reasonable.

While they were here, our cat went missing. That group of people dropped their tools and helped look for the cat. I've never seen a group so conscientious and don't think I've ever had as good of an experience as I had with Pacific. They also went out of their way to show that the old furnace really did need replaced. They were within ten minutes of each appointment and I absolutely have nothing bad to say about them.

Three months after being serviced and given a "looks better than new" nod of approval from Pacific, my gas furnace died. Again. This is the second time the unit has ceased working shortly after a maintenance service call from them. They scheduled a tech for the following afternoon for the usual $89+tax diagnostic fee. Bill arrived promptly and diagnosed a bad inducer motor and a $632 total invoice. He also suggested I consider a new unit to replace my 12-year-old Lennox at a minimum cost of $4000. He said they couldn't have the part for the repair until "the first of next week" but he could schedule the installation of a new unit tomorrow. I wanted to ponder my options and said I'd get back to him with an answer before 5 PM. In the meantime I called an old friend who owns an HVAC business in California. He was appalled at the price quote and had the part overnighted to me for $280 total. I installed it in about 30 minutes with only a screwdriver and socket wrench.

THE GUY THAT CAME OUT TO GIVE THE ESTIMATE WAS VERY THOROUGH, BUT THERE PRICES WERE VERY HIGH.

PACIFIC AIR SYSTEMS DID A WONDERFUL JOB REPAIRING OUR FURNACE. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND DID THE JOB THEY NEEDED TO DO IN A TIMELY MANNER. WE WERE VERY SATISFIED.

IN A PHYSICAL PROFILE THEY WERE EXCELLENT, PROFESSIONAL, HAD GOOD PUBLIC RELATIONS, WERE FRIENDLY AND RECEPTIVE. I LIKE THAT, AND MOST OF THEM ARE. IT HAS BEEN AN ANNUAL SERVICE THAT I HAVE HAD DONE FOR THE LAST SIX YEARS. THEY ARE VERY GREAT TO WORK WITH. THEY COULD ASK A FEW MORE QUESTIONS THOUGH.
