They didn't seem interested in repairing my furnace. All they wanted to do was sell me a new furnace. The demeanor of the technician, Nicholas, changed to argumentative and belligerent when I said I was not buying a new furnace. When I tried to complain to the manager, he became argumentative as well. He did return the diagnostic fee after I told him I was getting a 2nd opinion.

We feel fortunate to have found Pacific Heating and Cooling, they've been servicing our furnace for years. We always ask for Nathan, he knows our system, he likes our dogs and he is always up front about what if anything we need to keep an eye on and what the cost will be when it does come time to take care of it. We have had other technicians come out, they were fine also but Nathan we just really like. We always feel we can trust the work that has been done.

My opinion of the company changed after they 'sold' me on a new furnace and AC system (14k). First of all, it DID NOT pass inspection. Then they stopped returning my calls even though they always say they will be sure to have someone call me back ASAP. It's been another week and I am pretty fed up with this company at this point. The King County inspector told me the inspection failed, not them. They have not reached out to me AT ALL so I called them. They said they needed to have someone call me back again. Guess what! No call! I have another appointment scheduled fur a duct cleaning which I will be canceling. I was able to get a discount on the cost but do not want to do business with them moving forward. I appreciate Zach Miller's professionalism and transparency. But that's about it. Would NOT recommend.

Yelpers are finicky. Pacific Heating and Cooling did a great job for my wife and I. We had them do a duct cleaning several months ago and they were top shelf. Booties on while in the house and great care taken to take care of our stuff. As a result we decided to have a consult on adding AC. Greg Jackson came out and went over current system, crawled under the house to inspect ducting and somehow came back in the house clean and wearing booties to go over our options. After a thorough review of what we had, asking about our goals and what we were most concerned with he developed three proposals. No pressure, no "today only" pricing, just a conversation. We chose to replace our okay furnace with an upgraded 96% efficiency furnace and added AC to our 1500 sq foot home. The price was about what I was expecting and they were able to begin installation the following week. Josh, Zach, Chance and Sean were all friendly, efficient, caring and concerned about doing a great job. They cleaned up constantly, kept us informed when having to turn off power let us know. I would recommend this group to friends and family. Thanks for the professional install at a reasonable price.

They found the problem and ordered the new part. Only problem was after they installed the new valve I couldn't get the heat to turn off so I had to switch the breaker to get the furnace to turn off. When they came back to check the problem, the tech who replaced the bad part forgot to remove the device that prevents the furnace from talking to the thermostat. Now my furnace and thermostat talk to each other.

The service was good and the guy who came out fixed the problem, albeit at a very high cost. Basically Pacific charged me $400 to replace two $20 capacitors (at the most), $79 for diagnostics, and slipped in two years of tune ups at $188 a pop. I have two heaters. I'm hesitant to have them come back out for the tune-up but I've already paid for two years. A lady called me shortly after the service to see if how things went and if I would recommend them to family and friends. I said **** no and explained the situation and she agreed that it was a little shady and that she would have someone reach out to me...no one reached out, which is why I'm leaving this honest review. If you have money to blow, then Pacific Heating and Cooling is for you. If you're on a budget I definitely would not recommend this company. The service was done on the 5th of March and my first tune-up is scheduled for the 28th of March. I'm curious to see what they try to sell me when they come back out.

they were punctual, and professional. However couldnt explain why a ten dollar part cost over 200$ ? joined a membership to reduce service xall from 99 to 79 $ but was charged both? would recommmend if you can afford not getting a second opinion as dar as cost.

They were able to get me scheduled very quickly so I would not be without heat for long. Other companies had long waits or would charge a significant after hours fee. They even called other times to see if I was available to get to me sooner. The tech arrived on time and tuned the repair call into a service call when the furnace started working. It was determined the furnace needed parts and the tech scheduled a bid for a new furnace when the estimate of $1500.00 was given for a new motor and heat exchanger. The bid for new furnace and installation from Pacific was $6800.00. I went with another company when I received another bid of $3000.00.

A very professional, knowledgeable and personable Service Advisor arrived at the prearranged time. He called about an hour before to let us know that he was on schedule. He presented the findings, almost exactly how the Maintenance Technician explained them, and went into more depth about the ramifications of the issues found. After initially discussing the issues, he performed a test of the system, which confirmed the findings. I was present during both the Maintenance visit and this visit and both walked me through the issues in understandable, professional detail. He then presented what could be done...starting with repairs. After reviewing the repairs and costs, we then moved on to replacement costs. We are absolutely impressed with this Service Advisor and continue (for the last 20 years) to be impressed by this Company.

I have been using Pacific for almost 30 years exclusively on multiple homes I own. Today was my last day as a customer with them. Every year I get a maintenance check and every now and then I have to have a repair made and they have been great...in the past. Not today. It was like the tech was looking for something to say was wrong with my system so he could write up another work order for a repair(s). I felt like I was being trying to be sold on things that did not need to be done. When he did write up a bid on the items he noted, I was floored at the cost. Again, nothing was broken. Just mainteance. When Duct Cleaning came up, I pretty much decided that I was getting hustled. Every tech I have had in the past from Pacific has said I did not need the additional work as noted today and that my ducts were in great shape. I am dissatisfied with the tech I had today and in the way Pacific Heating and Cooling was trying to take advantage of me. Again, I have been happy with this company in the past, but it seems their business philosophy has changed.

My existing one is working fine but it's old. I told the estimator, Greg, that I just want to replace the unit due to age. I do have a tight installation that does not meet all the mfr requirments, but the old one has worked fine since the 80s. I told him that if direct replacement wasn't possible I would leave the existing one in as it works fine. So Greg told me he couldn't make one fit, and then spent over two hours estimating a complete new system.... that I initially told him I wasn't going to buy and wasting 2 hours of his and my time. So it begs the questiong... Was he trying to sell me something I didn't want... or need. Maybe not. I must say, Greg was very nice and professional... but not a good listener.
