The fans are beautiful and add a whole new level of comfort in our home. They look like they came with the home.
We will absolutely do business with OTE the next time the need arises.
Mark and Debby were absolutely wonderful! I was looking to have a car charger installed in my garage. I had one bid for installation and the charger for $1500. I wanted to buy the Bosch charger online from Amazon and just have it installed but the electrician Bosch recommended in my area never got back to me. So I emailed Old Time to see if I could use an Angie's List Big deal (electrician for a day) and what the additional costs would be to install the car charger. Debby replied right away and we scheduled Mark to come out and give me a bid. He arrived right on time. It turned out I didn't have a full day's worth of work so the Big Deal wasn't needed but his bid of about $500 for labor, parts and permit was significantly less than the other bid - the charger itself is about $600. I scheduled to have the work done and again Mark was right on time. Everything went really smooth and didn't take as long as he had estimated, so he updated the invoice to adjust for less labor time. Total cost was under $350, to do all three items, much less than the $900 that the other electrician had bid for just installing the car charger! Inspection also went off without a hitch, with Debby scheduling it for me. The inspector had great things to say about Mark as well. I would definitely use again and recommend to my friends and family!
I originally contacted Old Time Electric by searching on Angie's List for an electrical contractor near my home location in April. When I contacted Mark & Debby Kroll, they were extremely pleasant. Mark came out right away from Lakewood to my home at the end of the Key Peninsula to look at what I needed and give me an estimate. He provided a detailed estimate via e-mail right away. I was happy with the estimated price so I signed the estimate with a minor change to the address and e-mailed it back to them.
Since I had to pour a concrete foundation, mount the light post, and dig trenches for the wiring, I needed some time before Mark and his crew could start the work. We coordinated by e-mail and phone through his wife Debby and scheduled the installation for August 2nd. Prior to pouring the concrete foundation for the light, I coordinated with Mark as to the size of electrical conduit that he would use to run the underground power to the light post so that I could concrete the conduit through the foundation into the ditch for the light. It worked perfectly.
Mark, his son Jason, and the apprentice arrived earlier than scheduled on Friday, August 2nd. They did an OUTSTANDING job!!! Each of them were extremely pleasant to deal with and worked continuously and smartly (very knowledgeable). They installed approximately 400 feet of underground conduit, installed mounting posts for the RV panel and outlets, plus the garden post and canopy lift area post for the 110V outlet, tied into the main house power panel, and installed service boxes with electrical breakers where needed. I was very impressed when they installed all of the wiring through the conduit using a "mouse" pulled through using a shop vacuum. They finished the whole job in approximately five hours, which is much faster than I thought that it would take considering the amount of work involved.
I was very impressed with the timeliness, professionalism, and workmanship quality of Mark and his crew. They did an outstanding job and were extremely easy to work with. Mark provided the electrical permit and Debby coordinated for the final electrical inspection by Pierce County as soon as the work was done.
I am a very happy customer and I would use Old Time Electric again if I need electrical work done!!
Project coordination by the office is very efficient.
I'd recommend them highly for any residential or light commercial job.
