Lowe's of Lakewood

We generally have pretty good luck with Lowe's everywhere, and had good luck with the Lowe's in the Lakewood as well; we had no complaints about them. They provided good service. We used a contractor so we got the contractor's discount. We did not use Lowe's contractor but it was a different contractor. We did not pretty much get involved as we used a contractor but we believe the materials were delivered. We live on a hill and if contractors delivered, they would crack our driveway so that did not happen because they came on a big truck. Everything was good; what we had to focus on was delivery because the contractor basically ordered the materials for us. Lowe's price was competitive with any other lumber yard; we did price shop. The only downside is that sometimes we cannot find what we want there. As big as those places are, they only carry what sells popularly. Lowe's is good but they are a national company so they are going to have only what their suppliers give and they work so much on price margin, it is not necessarily going to be the top of a lot. In fact, when we have not used Lowe's, it is because we have not found the quality that we wanted as sometimes we want higher quality than what they can provide. We do not ever remember having a problem with their responsiveness. The only problem that we have had with Lowe's has nothing to do with the local store; at times their billing system is a little weird but we get it straightened out. If they have to deliver something, they show up when they say they are going to.

It is so hard to find anyone to help you at Lowes. They are just another big hardware store. When I finally find someone to help me, it isn't their department. It is rather annoying. They have low quality service, for low prices. It is great for someone who knows what they are looking for, and tradesmen. I think if they direct their service to contractors and trademen, they shouldn't advertise to the general public. They need more consumer support. I would not use them again, unless I had to.

THE LOWES SUB-CONTRACTOR WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. INFORMATIVE AS TO VIABLE OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO PERFORM THE REPLACEMENT OF MY EXTERIOR PATIO DOOR. REASONABLY PRICED.
