Horrible work, re-seed was done poorly, seed heavy it parts and sparse in other areas. They did not roll the yard so when I mow I feel like I'm 4 wheelin. Tried to charge me for 10 yards of top soil and labor to spread. Only problem they did not use any top soil and could not produce a delivery receipt when asked. This lady takes shortcuts on everything, promises the moon but does not deliver. Bark and rock put down so thin and no weed paper used so that in a mater of week I was over run with weeds. I could go on but do not have the patience. Do NOT hire these con artists!!!

They're excellent! Several members of their family has come out and done work for me. They're very punctual and on top of the schedule. I don't have to call unless I want something extra done.

Lawn Service
Overall, this has been a bad experience for us and we are not satisfied in the least. We needed to have our lawn cleaned up and redid some of the landscaping in the front yard. The cost to do the clean up was roughly $2000. It was a lot of work as we have nearly a 1/2 acre of weeds that needed to be pulled. Their price was competitive with all the other bids I had and we chose to go with them because she was the most easy to understand and actually seemed to know what she was talking about.
The clean up went well for the most part. They spent two days doing the clean up. I called them back out because they did not trim two bushes that they said they would with our agreement. They came back and took care of it. The weeds that were sprayed never died. It took three trips total for her to come out and kill the weeds. She said she used very weak weed killer because it is better for the environment and the rain was making it worse. I don't know what she was using, but vinegar could have killed off the weeds quicker than whatever she was using.
Although we weren't totally pleased with the work done, since they at least came back out until it was taken care of we decided to hire them for twice a month servicing of our yard. The work entailed mowing the front and back yards, keeping all the bushes and ivy trimmed, and keeping the weeds down. We were told we would have to sign a year long contract for the price that we negotiated on which was $150 per month. Although reluctant, we accepted.
At first everything went fine. The only thing that got done twice a month was the lawn mowing. They were not trimming or taking care of the weeds as promised. I sent them a letter after the first month of service explaining my dissatisfaction and that I would expect the weeds and trimming to be taken care of. The next time they came out it was done. It became a recurring theme though. I sent them a letter again and the weeds or trimming did not get taken care of.
The final straw came when they tried to triple bill me. They said I had not paid for October, November, or December. Keep in mind, I got the bill in December right before Christmas. I did pay the October bill and provided them the check number that proved it. They never game me a bill for November so threw it on the December bill. Double Whammy. I paid them and sent them another letter stating I did not appreciate it and that the weeds still weren't taken care of. They don't grow in December so there is no excuse. I said that if it is not corrected I will take my business elsewhere. I also enclosed a bill for another one of their clients that they threw on my door. I'm sure that poor client got double billed too because they gave the bill to me instead of the actual customer it belonged to. Absolutely no organization in how they conduct business.
By the way...they never came out again. Not because I fired them. They just stopped showing up.

We are very happy with them. We've been using them for 15 years. They are wonderful. They are always incredibly on time. They do a great job and they are gone in 5 minutes. The guys that come are very nice and they are incredibly reliable. They may charge other people more now. I think we are kind of grandfather at the price they gave us way back when.

They were very quick to call me back when I left a message requesting a bid, which to me was great. I didn't have a huge project, just weeding and edging, and yard clean up. They came by to give me a bid..the price of $195 for the first time and then if I want once a month it would be $70 after. I went ahead and hired them to try them out, since they had some good reviews, and I also had a 20% off coupon. At the time they came to provide the bid I did not tell them I had a coupon.
when I scheduled the appointment to have them come, I advised I had a 20% off coupon as well, and I was told that the $195 already had the 20% discount from the coupon... that right there should have been a red flag, because I never told them of the coupon during the bid, and this was my first time telling them I had it....I told them the bid form did not show the discount, and she said she would look at the bid quote and see about the discount.. So I said ok, and still decided to hire them..
They were supposed to get here between 8am-8:30am. I specifically asked them what time they would get here as I needed to make arrangements to be at home, as well as run a couple errands before they got to my home. Well I waited and 2 hours later at 10:30am, they still did not show up. I called them and left them a voice-mail, to see what was going on and if they were coming. I missed their call back but received a voice-mail, it was hard to understand but I did understand that they would be here at my house around 2pm. No apology for being late...nothing..So I waited till 2pm and they were still not here. I then get a call stating that they are on their way..they arrived after 3pm. I figured ok, maybe they had an emergency, I will just go with it and continue to try them out. I wasn't rude, I thanked them for coming, and still no apology for running late...
They started the work, and because of the time, I had to leave (they were supposed to be there in the morning which caused me to re-arrange my entire day), but my 21 year old son was at home to pay them at the end. When I got home, I didn't feel I got what I paid for, They did edge and do some weeding, but there were still spots missed, some areas were not cleaned up very well..I don't think they had all their equipment either...I ended up having to rake and finish some of the clean up on my own. My son also asked them about the 20% discount and he was also told it was included..but it wasn't...I just feel that they did a rush job because they were more than 6 hours late and put no time into the work that they provided me. When my husband came home from work, his exact words, and quot; they did a half a** job, maybe they had a bad day and took it out on our yard because they didn't have the time.and quot; I also feel that they lied to me about the price, because of the coupon..
I'm not one to complain about much..but this was not a very good experience.. I have larger project coming up, in the $20k frame, and because of how poorly this was handled, they will not be getting our business again.

We liked the work but they were a little bit aggressive and messed up our irrigation system a little bit. We have in-ground irrigation to water the plants. They were using picks to get all the weeds and stuff because we had way overgrown plants because we hadn't weeded for 5 years due to the poor health of my wife and me. They were very aggressive. The quote was a little weird. They gave us a good quote to start with and it ended up costing us more than we thought it would. As far as the job itself, it looks good. They tried to fix the irrigation that they could see sticking up out of the ground but there are still some areas that are not working right now. It was a little expensive. They were very responsive and on time. We don't plan to use them again. They did a good job of trimming a tree but I don't know if I would recommend them for any major work. l.

They came out after I called which did not happen with other vendors. Gave us a bid, we agreed, they showed up on the Tuesday as agreed and did the work which was good. We also asked about re seeding the lawn. She said she could do it now but wanted to wait until Oct when it would rain more. She did not want to take our money and have the job not worek out. I thought that was great.. They come very other Tuesday and good a good job.
They also agreed to do yard clean up for us if we have a storm, as we are snow birds and are not here in the winter.

We have used this business before, but secured a second bid before going back to Le Van this time. It is a husband/wife/family business and they work hard. Any time I have had an issue, such as something being overlooked, it is always corrected. Their bid was about $300 less than the other local bidder. They discuss what needs to be included in the bid, and they complete the work very satisfactorily. We will continue to use them in the future. They arrive on time with the proper tools and truck and come prepared to work. Communication is a bit difficult with the husband due to his lack of a command of the english language, but his wife is always present when discussing the work and picking up the check.

Had not had any yard work done since August. Winter ice and snow did a lot of damage to our trees. Had several estimates done and this one was consistent with the others. I chose this vendor because she noticed several things and made suggestions while doing the evaluation/estimate. The team arrived on time on the day agreed upon and completed the work efficiently. They also were careful to ensure the back gate was latched--important because I have two dogs. Based on this experience I plan to have them do ongoing (every 2 weeks) yard service for me.

They did a great job. They are more like gardeners than just grass cutters. They go beyond just cutting the grass. They take care of flower beds. They seem to have really good sense of how to keep things and notice things to be done without having to be told. They are very reliable. They get the job done. My yard is looks good. I would use them in the future.
