They did a great job with the measuring and the prices were reasonable. We would recommend their services to others.

We visited their showroom and selected a beautiful piece of granite that was already in stock. After they gave us a quote --a very reasonable quote, we went with them for the job. They came all the way out to our home, measured the cabinets and then returned to install the counter top after it was fabricated. GREAT job. The salesperson was helpful and not pushy. The installers measured perfectly and installed the top as scheduled and without any hitches. We LOVE our beautiful counter.

It was all great. They were easy to work with and very informative. We were remodeling most of our house and it was one of the best products we got out of the remodel.

Johnson Granite underwent a change in ownership a couple of years ago, so you won't be dealing with the original owners. The estimate we received was very competitive and we liked their representative. They aren't especially attentive, so I felt like I was on my own as far as picking out slabs; nobody met us at the granite yard or anything like that, although they did spend time with us in their remnant yard. They did figure out a way to install the granite in my garden window which was tricky. My dissatisfaction was in the punctuality, and they seemed very disorganized. At one point they called me to confirm an appointment for measuring, and we had not even selected the stone or even finalized the sale. Showing up an hour late when I had taken time off from work is a big deal to me. On top of that I wasn't given clear information about how long the entire install would take, and was led to believe that one day would probably cover it. The installers told me "no way" and then seemed ticked off for the rest of the job. They explained that they were too busy that week to have pre-cut the pieces, so everything was done on my back patio. I would have preferred that the job be rescheduled if they really didn't have the time. The second day they came out they forgot the piece that fit behind the range. They went back to get it, and I don't think they cut it properly--the seams on that part have gaps that had to be filled with some kind of putty. It's not bad enough for me to demand that it be re-done, but it's not perfect either. I just didn't have the sense that they really cared about my project, and the lack of coordination/organization seemed a red flag. We paid the bill promptly and received no thank you for our business. Details matter, especially in this economy.
Response from Johnson Stone Countertop
"Dear Member, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. We try to be attentive to our customers needs. There is no excuse for being late, but sometimes construction projects have unforeseen problems that we need to solve and fix on-site which can push our schedule out a bit. Most 50-75 sq ft. kitchens do take only one day to install. There are many factors to installing a countertop that can lead to a 2nd day install. We try and minimize verbalizing the problems to the customer and provide a good end product instead. After reading your review and getting another report from a homeowner we no longer employ that installer. I appreciate your feedback as it helps us grow and learn as a company. Thank you, Anne Johnson Stone Countertop Office (253) 460-1585 ext. 23"

The only quartz island with inlaid ceramic tile in the Puget Sound area. My wife and I wanted to do a complete kitchen remodel, but in stages. In the first stage, we installed quartz countertops. The work was done by Johnson Stone Countertop and the results were beyond outstanding. In the second stage, we wanted to do the island, but with a twist. For compatibility, we wanted quartz. But in addition, we wanted to inlay hand-painted ceramic tiles. Given the quality of the previous work, we called Johnson again and asked if they would fabricate the quartz to accommodate the inlay. Not only did they agree to do this, but they also volunteered to set and grout the tiles themselves rather than have us struggle to find a tile setter for this work. The result is spectacular. The craftsmanship is superb, and the island is one of the first things our guests notice when they walk into the kitchen for the first time. There seems little question that we have the only kitchen island that contains this type of inlaid tile in quartz in the Puget Sound Area. We can’t recommend Johnson enough for their professionalism and craftsmanship at every stage of the process.

The words that come to mind when thinking about Johnson Stone Countertops are professionalism, craftsmanship, and thoroughness. From the initial interaction with Shelby for getting an estimate, through the measurement of a template by Josh (the owner), and finishing with the installation team headed up by Hugo, the experience was positive, clean, and professional. We got estimates from several fabricators, but the experience with Johnson was head and shoulders above the others. At the end of the day, it is about getting value, and that is what you get. With Johnson you don’t need to worry about whether you will get what you pay for – you will. Indeed, the extra attention to detail and thoroughness stands out and goes beyond normal expectations in today’s climate.

The particular Caesarstone I wanted was in short supply in Seattle area and Johnson reserved it (at no charge to me) when I contacted them for a quote. I got bids from 3 companies; Johnson was the middle bid but not far above the lowest. My selection was based more on the quality of their work that I observed at the the distributor's showroom and on the ability of company personnel to answer specific technical questions regarding the product and installation requirements. I was also looking for a company that did not sub-contract the templating and installation process. Once I accepted the bid and gave them my remodel schedule, they kept me advised of their installation schedule. They sent specific information for corpenters for optimal sink placement and installation preparation for Caesarstone. The company owner did the template for counter and fit is excellent--we did tight overhangs for a trim 50's look in the kitchen. The installation is excellent, the seams are barely visible, better than the sample I saw at the showroom. The counter was tight to wall and no additional preparation was needed for application of thin subway tile for backsplash (done by different contractor). Johnson also did a set-back reveal to accomodate Franke sink accessories (versus having counter overhang edge of undermount sink). Finally, the honed Caesarstone I selected "grabbed" some of the adhesive used for sink installation. The company owner personally cleaned the adhesive from the finished countertop to assure satisfactory final product. By the way, I do not regret the selection of the honed Caesarstone. It is easy to clean using manufacturer's recommendations and it gives the look I wanted.

Johnson Stone was recommended to us by our Decorator. They first gave us a rough estimate of fabricating the granite that we picked out. Then we were ready to put the granite in, they came out and did a template. When we were ready we called them and they were here within a week. The guys that actually installed the granite were very professional and great to work with. They showed us to take care of the granite too. Johnson has been great to work with. It took us a little longer than we thought to get to the point where we needed the granite and they have been very accommodating us with holding it at their facility until we were ready for it. No pressure to get it out of their place. Very nice.
