Caring Transitions of South Puget Sound

Joe Maasen took 3 weeks beyond his commitment date to provide me with a quote. By the time we got the quote from him, my dad was in hospice and about to pass so we didn't have time to find another provider so we went with him. He does online auctions and claims to sell the rest via garage sale type events and then claims he'll provide the unsold items to charity. He charges for the online auction services and then he sold all my parents belongings for $1 minimum bid. Needless to say, everything they had collected over their 50 years of marriage was sold for pennies on the dollar and he asked my mom to pay him thousands of dollars for his "services". He also didn't provide a complete inventory of all the items he took from their home and never provided proof that any items went to charity. As such, I believe he basically stole hundreds of items from my parents. This franchise owner took advantage of my mom and will be reported to the BBB. Do not give him your business. Other Caring Transition services might be ok, but if you're in his territory, do not give him your business.

Joe and his team handled our online estate auction and we are very pleased. They are very professional and efficient. I'm impressed with the online auction option they offer which includes sorting and categorizing, group lots, photographing, uploading to the auction website, fielding questions and troubleshooting problems, and managing pick up of the items by the winners. We were much more comfortable NOT having strangers traipsing through our house and looking at our belongings. I've already recommended them to friends and now recommend them to other Angie's List members!
